I'm looking at a 2013 Italia and 2014 Italia and wondering if there were any differences between these two model years? For example, I know there were differences between the 2011 and 2012 model years, if I'm not mistaken.

Is there anything that makes a 2014 model any nicer/better than a 2013? ... other than the fact that it's one year newer?

    Thanks!

Any difference in the way they drive? Suspension or engine or ECU differences?

I recently shopped both and purchased a 2013 2700 mile certified car. So warranty on par with a 2014 and the price difference was in favor of the 2013 by a good margin. Otherwise the cars are the same to my knowledge. On the contrary if you plan on selling in the near future a 2014 may be a better bet for resale! I'm a novice so take this all in context!

Only difference I could think of is streaming bluetooth of music. The 2014 models (some of them) supported this. My original 458 didnt' but my speciale did.

There are some who think the 14-15 got a tad quieter. Not sure but I recall a thread on this a while back.

A '13 may or may not be in warranty. A '14 probably will be.

Interesting, so you're saying 2013 didn't stream bluetooth music but 2014's did? I find it funny that while auto manufacturers say no changes for a certain year, there are always changes that weren't announced. This happened of my Lamborghini for the one year they said "No changes for this model year" when in fact there were many changes, but smaller ones, but not small in the eyes of car nuts like us.

Wondering if anyone else found any other difference with 2014's vs lower year?

I think you mean scheduled maintenance,
    .
Don’t think either will have the warranty, unless one comes with an extended. I have a ‘13 and I just burned my last scheduled maintenance; the 14 will have one additional maintenance, but this shouldn’t be used as a dealbreaker. Probably worth around $1,500 in the grand scheme of things.

I couldn’t agree more, William. The “free” maintenance is nice to have, but servicing a 458 doesn’t break the bank, far from it. I have a 2011, so I never had it, but usually the value you put forward is correct. The bulk of the value being the oil itself, as a V8 takes on more oil than our average 4 cylinder turbocharged daily driver here in Europe.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.
