Might as well get this discussion started. Looks like this will be a great event to attend. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/96874
GT should be interesting as always, Flying Lizard is back, the 458 will debut, and a few teams are switching cars around.
one of my favorite races of the year! better than the Daytona 500 in my opinion. when I lived in the midwest I would watch the 24 on TV, knowing that the cold and snow were soon to give way to racing season a couple of the Alex Job GT drivers stopped by my simulator center last week to get some pre-testing simulator time in, so I'll be following them closely
There was an inquiry in the Owners Section on the Ferrari VIP package. Are you going to the race? Are ya'll going to be in town for Cavallino?? I don't have a working Ferrari right now, but I could always throw the Ducati in the truck, and head over.
Just got my Classic motorsports tickets & corral & am headed down for the Continental Cup and the 24 hrs. Got a great condo on the beach & ready for some action. My friends are driving the Kia this year and the 50 year retrospesctive should be great.
I doubt it would double ticket sales I think it's not legal because it's neither fish nor fowl; while based on a 430 Scud/GT, it's been too heavily modified; yet P4/5 is a one-off so there's really no "production" car to base it off of. if they built 100 P4/5s, they could probably get P4/5C homologated. or if Jim bribed the France family enough
especially when McNish is behind the wheel... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55vNGkPZQr4[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPUt3JJJV7o[/ame]
50/50 if I attend the 50th. Never been but attended the Sebring 12 hrs. several times and was always entertained .... as is the case with many I suspect....
I'd rather go to Sebring, more interesting cars (although I would like to see the Corvette DP cars in action). as a spectator, unless you're camping at the track, 24 hour races are a bit much. 10-12 is juuuust right
pic of the new Ganassi BMW/Riley unloading for testing. I'm so glad the DP's are starting to look like real race cars and not something made out of legos. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sweet in Citgo livery. There's one for sale at Wire Wheel: http://www.wirewheel.com/2006-Crawford-DP-03-Daytona-Prototype-for-sale.html Also the BMW / Picchio owned by another F-Chatter is there...
testing sessions over for today....DP Corvettes look fast http://www.grand-am.com/schedule/results.cfm?series=r&eid=3427&sid=2385
I was there today and will be back tomorrow and Sunday. I'm going through my pictures right now and I'd be happy to post a few if someone can tell me how I can get the
Yes they're .jpgs and hosted on my site. At the bottom of the page in the " posting rules " box it says code is off. It has to be on for me to use the [img] tags to link to my pics.
