Drove one today and liked the car but want some feedback and opinions before I sign....Was offered $4k off 71k msrp, 2k discount with 2k dealer cash on purchase. They were really pushing me towards a leae which I have never done, $1,006 for 39 month leae with 12k miles per year. $1,006 due at signing which was first payment. Or $10k down and $750 a month with same mileage limitations. The lease sounded like the way to go with the way they were talking but I was constantly advised against it via text while talking to the sales manager.

Have 18k miles on my V coupe & so far I couldn't be happier."motorcitydriver" has one as well,he may want to weigh in.

As far as leases go,whatever works for your own financial situation.

I tend to be a bit biased however.:)

Lease is good depending on terms, how much milage you get, if you will use it etc

If the car will devalue then lease is even better so you arent stuck w the depreciation

The danger is going over the miles cus they can hit you for big $ on extra miles

If you drive a lot try to get the most miles possible

I have multiple cars so I dont think the 12k miles a year will be reached, unless I fall in love with the car and have to drive it daily. Right now they seem to be holding their value pretty well from what I have seen.

The sales guy was trying to tell me a customer leased one and after 19 months wanted another so traded up. Said the car was worth more than what they had figured in his payments so he got an add'l $3500 towards his new lease.....Is that salesman talk or seem like a real possibility?

I only have 1800 miles but it is a fantastic car. I have the six speed manual in the sport wagon. Car handles as, if not better, than my 2001 Z06.
It feels as if it is on ralis just like my Elise. Power is never ending and the mileage thus far is 18.2 MPG. The Z06 does 26-27 MPG and the Lotus 30+. My 365 GTC 4 on a long trip made 20 MPG but it was all highway.

the choice should be based on your specific needs.

I've been saying it will be my next car for a year now. I'm going in tomorrow. Will probably get one for my CEO.

I'm personally tempted by an M5 now. I have to get seat time to see if the CTS-V is for me.

I'm darn proud of America though over this one. :)

Hey. Perhaps a two-fer on the Vs.

Thanks for those links. I think the car is plenty fast as is, but some people will want more.

Went to the dealed today. Got the truck instead. Pretty neat Cadi. But no CTS-V.

Didn't have a chance to drive the V. No time. The truck was the only one they had. Cadi truck buyers just come in and buy I think.

I've got a 2010 with about 12k on it. It's a sedan with automatic. I've got the sunroof and Recaros. All I can say is, what a wonderful car. You will not be disappointed. The car is fast and comfortable. I generally don't beat on the car so on trips, I'll get somewhere between 20 and 21.1 mpg with the cruise set for 72mph. In the city, it drops off to somewhere between 14 and 17 mpg. But, if you want to get up and go, it will definitely go and every time I drive it it puts a smile on my face. It's almost as much fun as my 599. Go for it, you won't regret it.

I have an 11 V coupe, 20k on mine, run it year round with snows on her for the winter not that we had much of one this past year. Avg 15.8 mpg on mixed driving, loved having her, year and a half to go on the lease. You can save a little if you forgo the Recaro's.

You & I are getting @ the same MPG.Although on a trip to Chicago I managed 19.5.Same goes for the snow tires.First winter with all the snow we had, never had any problems. This last winter......no snow......no problem!

I didn't opt for the Recaro's. Can't say that I miss having them.

They have my car at Tom Peacock Cadillac, Blue CTS V Coupe. Still debating between the lease or purchase. The dealership is pushing the lease option hard saying this is my best option since I won't be putting a ton of miles on car.

Just picked up a 2010 with 20,000 miles. Amazing car. I owned the previous generation CTS-V and this one is light years ahead of the old one. I just have a Corsa exhaust on it now and it adds a nice sound without being obnoxious. No drone whatsoever. Going to be getting some D3 mods soon so stay tuned! The handling is downright amazing. I'm shocked at what this car is capable of.

I have driven two at different dealers. The V has very good performance and the 2012 model has tighten the suspension so it feels like a sporty car in the BMW vien only not quite as good but still wonderful

The V car just 2 years ago while wonderful lookers still drove like caddys with a strong motor. They have now changed that.

I own alot of cars and it is diffintely a top performer and World class for a sporty sedan.

I can not talk to the cost or reliability. I can say my recent Chevy the ZR1 has been perfect. It is faster but surprisingly a better handling car then my 458 Ferrari or Lambo. it is a better car! Part of that is ferrari has lost its way with the 458 while vettes have upped their game alot.

It also has more features llike heads up display, smart key and adjustible driving modes like sport , competition or cruise to name a few. It is great to see American cars get back into the fray again.

I used to just ignore them but that is not possible anymore.
