    R&T had a good write up when they released these. They compared it to the panamera but the thing that got me was how much this really looked like aston's current offerings while the Porsche looked like they were struggling to make it look like a 911 (no offense Pcar fans)

    trust me, I have a GranSport and the truth is Hyundai copied the coupe almost exactly. Luckily all those Hyundai's broke down and you don't see them anymore. :)

    If buying from a private dealer can you still get an extended warranty from Aston Martin?

    I have never owned an AM for the long term, but I have had several for the short term. The 2002-2005 Vanquish is still one of my favorite cars of all time. In my experience, the cars have been no more problem than a comparable year Ferrari. I've driven this Rapide several times, and come away very impressed. Especially on sport mode.

    BTW, We just put brand new tires (Bridgestone Potenza's) on the rear. The fronts were still good.

    Not sure if you can get one form the Aston Martin Dealer, but I recommend EasyCare (easycare.com). We have no affiliation. It was initially recommended to me by a Porsche Dealer who claims that it's better then the Porsche extended warranty.
