2011 St. Louis European Autoshow

that was a loaner car, I still have the white Porsche,its getting worked on..

 

Going from the photos this is what I have as the particpating F cars. It is sequential from the 599 GTO end to the 330 GT 2+2 at the other end. Can anyone fill in the blanks and/or confirm the car identifications? Did I miss any? Don't notice Bill K's blue 355 Spyder, thought he was going to bring it.

I do notice that you had a good turn out with cars that I have not seen at events before. Anyone know if they were new additions by the regular crowd? Any of the participants from beyond the normal St. Louis area?

What award did the 330 GT win? Best Ferrari, best in show, People's Choice, etc.

Anybody have information on the donor car for the California rebody? A serial number would be nice too.

Need to work on your vintage Ferrari IQ. You get to learn about serial numbers and the real history of Ferrari when they were Ferrarris not glorified Fiats. You know, when men were men and the sheep were scared.

Thanks. If others have photos or information to pass along please do so. It is boring here hanging out in the hotel room in Enugu, Nigeria. The bar ran out of tonic water so it puts a crimp in the gin & tonics, the white wine by the glass sucks and the red wine is only semi-tolerable.

All I got was a Tahoe when I needed a loaner. It was nice enough, but no 993 Turbo, and I never got to take it off-road. The Turbo looks great, but it's nice to know the Fat Cab is still around!

 

Good question. I only took a few pictures of F-cars where the license plates were visible, but if I remember correctly all had Missouri or Illinois plates. So beyond the usual suspects, there were more F-cars from the area than I expected, or at least F-cars with owners that are within driving distance of St. Louis.

There were also a couple of F-cars in the spectator lot- a Rosso Corsa F355 Berlinetta and an F430 Spider (I assumed it was gray, I noticed it going by while I was sitting at the bar in Cardwell's). There was also a Scaglietti I haven't seen before at Fleming's. Nice to see so many extra F-cars at the show yesterday, hopefully that'll happen again next year.

Sorry I missed most of you guys Sunday but I didn't get there til 2 or so. I did meet Randy who graciously spent a few minutes discussing his fantastic GTO and 458. Thanks again Randy.

Did anyone get a shot of the Matte Black Murcie Roadster in the parking lot?

 

Corrections on the show winners. This came directly from the organizer so think it is likely accurate.

The recreated California Spyder won Best of Show.

The 4-headlight 330 GT 2+2 wone Best in Class.
