My Exige S260 Final Edition is listed on consignment at Lotus of Orlando, asking $84,995.

I am the first owner, bought the car new at Lotus Orlando, and have had it serviced there since day one. I have a binder containing every service receipt from new.

I am selling because I have just not been driving it much for the past couple of years. Joint damage and mobility issues make it very difficult for me to get in and out these days. Since it just rubs against the grain for me to let a car sit, it's time to move it on to someone who will enjoy it.

A few details about the car:

It sits at 19,XXX miles right now. I was asked how many of those miles are track miles, and my best estimate based on number of track days, sessions per day and laps per session put that number at somewhere around 4,900. Most of those miles were around Sebring, but also PBIR, Daytona and Road Atlanta. (Decals including the name over the door have been removed except the 29 roundel. It is static vinyl - no adhesive - you can peel it off and put it back on whenever you like.)

You will see a Check Engine Light for a P0420 code - Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold. This is due to having a sport cat from Monkeywrench Racing installed after the stock cat was blown and an OEM cat was not available. There are three solutions to this - 1. Keep searching for an OEM cat. 2. Get an ECU tune to reset the threshold. 3. Plug in an OBD2 reader every now and then to confirm it is still only the P0420. I chose to go with option three, but I'll leave it to the new owner to decide if they want to choose one of the other options.

There is a faulty Tire Pressure Monitor in the front right wheel showing a warning on the dash. This can easily be swapped out the next time the front tires are replaced.

Other than that, this is a no stories one owner car looking for it's next home with an enthusiast that will enjoy it as Lotus intended.

    Completely road legal.

This was the final road legal version of the Exige allowed into the US under the NHTSA specialty car maker exemption. Hence the Final Edition designation. The V6 version that followed is not road legal, and was only allowed into the US on a bill of sale, track only use.

This one can be plated and registered in all 50 states. Note the Florida plate during a track day at Road Atlanta. I drove the car from Orlando to Atlanta (well, Braselton), had a blast on the track, and drove it home.

didnt the final editions have the single pair of headlights instead of the 4 on your car?
nothing else can compare to the road feel this car provides. not even a gt porsche can offer this level connection.

Thanks! You’re right, this is a pure driver’s car.

And no, this headlight configuration is on all of the 2011’s, including the FE’s.

Thanks very much to everyone that reached out to me on this. There was a ton of interest.

The car has been sold, and is on its way to a new home, with an owner I know will enjoy it as much as I did.
