Nice project. Put a cage in that bad boy, use brass wire or tube. I have some if you need. Its very easy to solder with a mini torch. I didn't know you guys were into scale models, made and collected a few myself. Here is a race version of a 288GTO I did about ten years ago. Not of any perticular car, just messing about. Hmmmm...Maybe when the 348 work is done this winter I'll do another.

I went to whole foods today. You would have thought Armageddon was coming. People going crazy getting ready for the storm and the last few days before X-Mas. Not one available parking space in the whole lot and people zooming around all over looking for one. I had had enough at one point until struck with a moment of clarity. My task was simple and my truck provided the solution. The last parking spot in the place was available if you had the stones to use it. 4 feet high with frozen snow from the last storm. Put in 4x4, accelerate to ramming speed, success. After the ultimate parking job as I exited the vehicle a whole foods parking lot person approached me so I braced myself for the scolding. "God, I miss my truck" she said, smiled and passed by me. I did get a few snide looks from the tree hugger variety putting groceries in their trunks but well worth it. As I passed one woman with her mouth still open in disbelief I whispered just loud enough for her to hear "Merry Christmas"

Gbury is nuts today. I did one lap through stop&shop and bailed. Nothing I can not get another day.
I am hoping it does not get too nasty until late, we have a play down at the Goodspeed tonight.

 

My wife and I are out and about today. Eating lunch as I type this. Everywhere is busy, but I've seen worse. Oddest thing I saw with the incoming storm was a GT40 driving around. Brave man.

So who is going over to take a picture when Dean shows up in a sno-cat?
I am sure he can groom the parking lot so you guys won't scrape.

The end of my driveway looks like a jersey barrier.

 

Its not too bad over here in the woods, maybe 4-6 inches. Hooked up the plow last night and I can't wait to get out and move some snow! Yes, I am sick and I love the snow and plowing . Wish I had that Sno-Cat. Is anyone meeting for coffee over in GBury, any where else maybe?

I hate snow..... but frank mentioned something more fun, The Ferrari Driving experience, which I am planning to attend this summer at Mt Tremblant, I hear its a nice place, very european like resort. Planning on making it a family trip I am sure the kids would have fun. It would be great if a group could go, the car line up looks great especially with the Italia on the Roster.

Yeah Lane I saw your area got smashed.
I drove home from the Gelston House/Goodspeed last night at about 9:15 in a white out until Middletown where it was barely snowing and returned home to not even a flake.

 

oddly, our area and the northwest hills didn't get much snow. We got a few inches at best.

 

i wonder if they let ppl go and spectate?

 

I'm in Taunton MA and I got blasted with snow as well. It was up to my knees.

 

I was really hoping to get the 355 out for the last Sunday of the year but the forecast is looking lousy...Then again, as Nero Joe explained the 5-7 day forecast is worth about as much as...well, maybe a 10 yr. old used set of cam belts

 

i don't know about spectators but participants can have a guest for a $950 fee

 

Ok who wants to pay 950 for me lol
