Can anyone speak on whether or not I can adjust "lower" my 612 with stock suspension? I've got the 20" 599 Challenge wheels on the car and just want to bring it down a bit to tighten up the appearance. And if it is possible then what does the work entail?

Andrew- Affirmative, the threaded collars on late model Ferrari shocks allow ride height to be adjusted pretty easily by a competent shop. About 15-20 mm is as much as you want to adjust downwards or you get the shocks out of their optimum operating range. Number 11 is the ring nut that allows height adjustment.

Note you will need to do a full four wheel alignment after adjusting ride height since the adjustment will change camber.

I also have the 599 20" Challenge wheels on my 612 and had the stock suspension lowered. If I remember correctly I went down ~15 to 20 mm front and back. I believe the cost was under $2k with the alignment, but not exactly sure. Much improved look, but be prepared to scrape the front more often. There was no noticeable change in ride.

Thank you both for responding. MACADOO - I would love to see pics of the car after being lowered. Did you have the work one at a Ferari dealership or other repair/performance shop?

Andrew- Whoever does the work needs to have a supply of the shims that are used to adjust the camber on the 612's suspension. Camber and toe will need to be adjusted after the ride height is lowered. There are two dealers near you.

Terry - Thanks for your info. macadoo - the car looks great.
This is a job for Lake Forest Sports Cars Ferrari, they will do the customizing work on these cars, Continental Ferrari doesn't like to mess with customizing they like to stick to regular factory work. I'm going to head up there this week and talk to them about the job. I'm 50/50 on this.... I love the car as it is and doing this is purely a vanity move. I'd really hate to do it and regret it afterwards because elf the scraping and such.
