Hi all, This is a pristine 1 owner car with a scant 8900 miles (14400kms) on it. If you can believe it, the car is still wearing the original set of rubber from the factory with plenty of tread on them. She has been cherished. All tools manuals and such are there, all service at ferrari, records in hand including the original bill of sale. The car is canadian spec with no stories or paintwork that I am aware of. Options are carbon fiber inserts, challenge wheels and bluetooth/cd The car has just had a PPI done at the dealer where oil and ball joints were replaced, as per the dealer 9.8/10 vehicle. No noticeable wear on the bolsters/ leather. Exceedingly minimal wear elsewhere. if nitpicking- 1-the convertible rear window plastic has a crease in it 2-there is a 1mm nick on the armrest leather on the driver side 3-there is minimal scuffing on the aluminum doorsill plate (where is says ferrari) 4-it will need a new speedo insert if imported to the us as the current one is kms only ( I will arrange all including shipping at full ask) Cars of this caliber are being advertised from 275-299k at present I would like 235k and am willing to consider partial trades up to 100k on 550-575s/430 f1s or more for a suitable 599. VIN provided to seriously interested parties. thank you. I think I may have misread the market. Price adjusted to 209k USD, which likely makes it the cheapest manual spyder of comparable miles that I am aware of. Much more responsive than my 997 tt and an absolute BLAST to drive. will be missed
Reading the note about changing the speedometer inset from km's to mph, wondered how much it cost. I called Ferrari of Denver & also Ferrari of Long Island. The parts guys at both dealerships told me that just a separate insert is NOT available, the speedometer assembly is right at $6000.00. Question, has anyone done any type of silk screen transfer, for changing the speedometer, from km, to mph? For $6000.00, I would leave it as is. I also called a couple of places that part out Ferrari's, they had no 430 speedometers.
From my research, if you are inclined/compelled to change the speedo there is a company in LA that will rejig your original unit for a few hundred dollars.
Are you referring to Palo Alto Speedometer? I have used them to restore several gauges, excellent work. Don't know if they can do a entirely new face such as on the 430, but it would be worth checking out.
we currently have a speedometer for sale, we purchased it from exotic auto recycling. And would entertain offers on it for less than 6000.00
When talking with Tim, the parts department manager at Ferrari Long Island, he mentioned that there are 8 different options listed for the 430 speedometer, depending on the vehicle ID number, and the color of the face of the speedometer. With the almost infinite variety of colors/combinations that Ferrari offers, on everything from gauges to calipers to colored interior panels, they must have some HUGE warehouses to stock all the models of a particular item!
Local dealer has offered 180. Deal will likely go in next 1-2 days. Contact me ASAP if you want this car! 4035619848
Who looks at a speedometer? All I ever watch is the tach. Remember that 100 kmh is 62 mph and you're good to go.
