Getting ready to pick my first Ferrari in a few weeks. I like the fender badges and I went to Ferrari in central Florida to discuss installing them. They recommended new fenders and shields and a repaint. Don’t know if I like them that much? I know this is a personal preference. I know there are some very nice after market shields that use a 3M adhesive. I just don’t want to see yellow ufo’s flying past my windows as I drive. What do you all think? Thank you
The shield thing is essentially this: If the car came with them fine. If not, then it's not to be. The fender has to have an impression stamped into it to accept a real shield. The fake shields are good for a laugh at your local cars and coffee but not much more. Some higher end models have real painted on shields. So if the car doesn't have shields, so freakin what? They don't make the car go any faster and they are just bling. If you want that bling, find a car that has shields. To retrofit shields to a non-shielded car, it's going to cost you about $10k.
