Anyone have any experiences with them?

I'm looking to pick up a nice one (less then 40K) for my daily driver.
I've always liked the looks, the I6 and the RWD aspect....

    Anyone have any input?

    Thanks.

I have five close friends that all own them, and none of their cars have seen the shop once outside of a oil change. You might feel it could use just a tad more power, but it is still a fun and quick little car and a great commuter.

I used to work there....BEST advice I can give you are two things....

BUY winter tires because the car is light and NEEDS them, especially if you are in New York.
Second thing, visit clublexus.com and READ...lots to learn...even before you buy one...

make sure it has a LSD.
Go on an IS forum to find out how to tell if it has or not. I forgot the code you need to look for. A good IS forum is my.is. Good luck with your search.

    Great cars. VERY reliable.

Personally I prefer the newer IS350 as it seems to me a more complete package(with the exception it won't hold a couple golf bags in the trunk...ggrrrrr).

Great looking cars. I'm not sure why even more of the asian tuning crowd isn't into these. I think these are at the top of the list for a drivers sedan(compared to the rest of the Japanese offerings) Like you said SS. it's a rear drive car with lots of potential. Plus I'm sure reliability is not a concern.

I like the car, and a good friend has one...no problems, fun....but one problem, is its kinda a "chick" car. Chicks dig it and love it, and if you can get away with it, go for it....try not to be called "cute"..

If it's so much of a chick's car, then maybe it'll be good to pick up the chicks with ;)

Thanks guys, the one I can buy does have the LSD and the two-tone interior. It only has 39K and has a Lexus 100K warranty. I don't care that it isn't a powerhouse (although I drove one, it's power is decent), my other car has over 425 HP.

I'm also thinking about a G35 sedan....they have a little more power, and from what I have read they are better in winter conditions. Any thoughts?
