    2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello with 4800 miles. $299,900 Offers and trades welcome.

    Classic Rosso Corsa over Beige. This 4 owner car is spectacular. Factory options are :

    Power Daytona Seat with Black Piping
    Shields
    Red Calipers

    Clean Carfax, stickys done. Major service with belts done in Feb. 2022, and serviced again in Jan 2023. Clutch has plenty of life. New tires in 2019. Has the stock exhaust installed, but comes with a Tubi Exhaust as well.

    Passenger air bag cover is starting to shrink.

    This car comes with all receipts from new, 2 keys and 3 fobs, books, tools, car cover, and a Tubi Exhaust (not installed).

    Had no idea shields were available officially on the 550 Maranello. I was under the impression the first time offered on the series was the Barchetta, with indented fenders as they're done now on all models. You learn something new every day. This 550 is an absolute time capsule.

    Very unfortunate this car was never enjoyed. That being said, a perfect candidate for a collector on BAT. GLWA.

    I believe shields started as an option on the F355 and every model thereafter.

    Shields were available special order prior to that, as early as 1993/1994 on 512TRs.

    Don't end up with a Garage Queen!

    Something to consider is if you pay a high premium for a low mile car, the value of the car goes down as you add miles.
    fifteen years ago I bought a BB512 with authenticated 3900 miles. It got polished about monthly and was a trophy that sat in the garage.
    I went to a track event at VIR that Steve Barney was the new Maserati dealer. After driving a few laps the new 2005 sport model, I decided that was a so much more fun than looking at that 512 sitting in the garage, I sold it and bought the Maserati.

    Some people want a garage queen. And this particular car is investible. As you probably know, collector cars have out performed all other investments over the last 40 years.

    Your point is valid, but its not the only way to look at at. Don't fall into "False Consensus", which is thinking that everyone else thinks the way that you do. Different strokes for different folks.

    Funny. Hi Michael. I didn't say I didn't like it. For a while anyway.
    Im on my 25th Ferrari now.. Sold my 812GTS and got new Portofino M, and put several hundred thousand in the bank drawing good interest.
