I asked for updated pics on 12/15 and expressed elsewhere on FChat that I am seriously interested in buying a 360F1. He may want to sell to someone who asks less questions. Good luck with it.
If you sold it to this owner as a dealer sale I know md. Will require the bill of sale and that would be from you to him technically, so it would be an issue and you cannot title jump so to speak unless the title does not indicate a dealer as the seller when you just sold it. I have been through this..
Car is sold. Thanks guys. I'd be lying if I said I was looking forward to the next time I have to sell a Ferrari The Hardest Part Of Owning A Ferrari Is Selling It
It's like hacking thru miles of dense tropical jungle, with a machete to finally reach a sun drenched beach where native girls dance and drink coconuts topless... IMO
I was going to be like "did you even read the thread?" but then I saw that you are an AOL user and I recalibrated my expectations
Wow, although this car only has 20k miles... its been across the country a few times.. Atlanta to CALI, back to new york now on eBay right now: Ferrari 360 F1 Coupe | eBay Wonder how it will sell when people know its last selling price(s)?
A lot of dust on the engine bay area. Air cleaner covers have some heavy dust. So to understand this correctly this car was sold and shipped to CA.. The new owner found out about a minor accident then decided he no longer wants the car. Your helping him re-sell the car.. Then we have a price drop.. I mean she looks clean from the outside and interior as well but I must say I would be a bit concerned.. Clutch job is gonna be pricey. 80% worn so she is gonna need it very soon.. Also there was some work on the repair order that was declined as well. Were those issues address or do they still require sorting. Just looked at the ebay ad.. The passenger air bag is all bubbled and probably requires replacement. Seats look pretty worn as well. Is it me or does it still look like some type of liquid is coming from the passenger rear area (looking at ebay photos). My gut is telling me there is a piece of the story still missing. I could be wrong and not looking to start any sh*t. Good luck with the sale. R
Guys - the car is sold; I'm out of it; see post 55 above. The current seller is a dealer that purchased the car from us back on 1/22. Yes, I helped sell the car for a friend in Atlanta. The buyer was in Cali, he shipped the car, decided he didn't want it, so I helped him resell. A dealer in NY bought it and has it listed on eBay. The current owner says he has replaced the clutch now. This is a fantastic car. The quality of pictures on eBay don't do it justice. I expect someone is going to get a great deal.
I know this car is sold but couldn't believe what people were posting in this thread! To any buyers who think a 14 year old car will not need a little work (depending on how picky you are) is down right absurd! Some of F chatter's are down right unreasonable in their expectations. Remind me to never list a car on here! I think this car was the bargain of the century and appears to be well cared for.
Thanks Dan. Selling a Ferrari is truly the worst. When I sell a car it is usually gone within a week - I give an honest description of the condition, take a ton of photos, and list it with an aggressive price so that it sells quickly. The asinine and insane line of questions I received from some perspective buyers was exhausting (has the car ever been pooped on by a bald eagle? Has the car ever been driven in the sunlight or during a full moon? Have the tires ever driven over possum pee pee?). I'm guessing most of these buyers were not "car buy" rather just collectors of objects that would be content to let the car sit in their garage.
Before your blast off to how bad the forum is, let me stop you and remind you that you are dealing with very tight group of guys who truly understand F cars. There is a wealth of information that is gathered and shared here. Most sellers who experience problem selling here usually think if they list, the next day some idiot will pay above market. Sure there are plenty of tire kickers and even dreamers but more importantly, there are true buyers too. I sold my TR here, no issues. Rendering the opinions of the members is very important and cars with no hair on them usually sells quickly. FYI, I took a closer look at buying this car from you but backed away for a reason. Now that you are out of it, don't blast the membership, you never know when you will post another car here, you want people. Best of luck!
Testarossa Lover - by no means did I mean any offense to any FerrariChat members. I do see how my comments could be interpreted that way, so I apologize for anyone (including yourself) that took exception with my post. The comment was a generic one made to reference the multitude of buyers that I dealt with - ones that I interacted through via many different sources including eBay. So, I don't recall specifically if any of the prospective buyers were from FChat. Even if they were it is really no commentary on FChat if they were - after all anyone can sign up for this site. I agree that FChat is a great resource for Ferrari owners (past present and future) and those that love the brand.
