Alright now is time to wager. Many a vintage Ferrari's have blown past the 2 million mark, but a Lamborghini has yet to hit or surpass it from my limited knowledge. If one has please share. Given the current state of the economy this could be a fun thread as our numbers and guesses could be way off, and as a change we would be predicting prices to go UP not down :). My guess is on the first lamborghini if it were ever to come up for sale, or the muira concept car. There will only ever be one car #1, and that Muira concept is stunning. Anyone else? There are no restrictions on car or time frame. So someone can say a Jalpa 20 years from now if you want.

I take it this is the Miura concept you speak of?

No it is not, and I agree that my logic might not seem valid, but I was trying to start a debate. I love the looks of the 2006 Miura concept, and would buy the NON RUNNING vehicle as a piece of artwork as it is simply breathtaking. Congrats on selling that one though Joe!

Have many Lamborghini's even passed the $1 million mark yet?

Lamborghinis of extreme value to me, cars that should command 7 figure prices...

    The Shah's SVJ
    The other factory SVJs
The best of the SV Miuras

The oldest Countach (the car currently green, originally red, in the factory museum, can't recall the proper name for this car)
    The Wolf Countachs

I would also believe premiums are appropriate for the following cars, above their "normal" production counterparts...

    The Cannonball Run Countach
    The Alpine Poster Cars
    The Final Anniversario

I think these cars will reach these value levels in the future, if they haven't reached them now.

Of the "normal" cars, cars without special circumstances or provenance, what we see today is pretty much how it should be. Unrestored, original examples of these cars will always command higher values than restored cars.

I don't know if the current pecking order as I see it is "right"...

LP400 Periscopa cars should be worth more than the S cars, with the Series 1 LP400S leading the rest, but should a restored dozen-owner SV be worth more than say a wonderfully preserved original 1 or 2 owner P400? I don't think so.

This has been a totally amateur opinion brought to you by ApexOversteer

    haha +1.
It is strange when you think of how many big buck Ferrari's there are compared to Lamborghini's. Is it just because of the racing history the Ferrari's have, or another reason? Both makes had the styling. Did Lamborghini prices ever have a boom like Ferrari's in the late 80's?

The company was still pretty young then. The Miura was a pretty obscure item and the Countach was still in production. Lamborghini, prior to Audi, was really more of a boutique car company. Compared to Ferrari it was a small company, producing a few hundred cars per year.

Lamborghini cars have only become widely recognized (and highly valued) since the last market downturn.

The ask for Miura SV/J #4892 is listed as $3,000,000 USD on the website it's being offered on...

An SVJ was a no sale this summer at auction. The miura spyder has been offered to me several times by several dealers. It's still available. In today's meltdown I very much doubt either an SVJ or the Spyder will reach their asking prices or anywhere near them.

Yet the asking price of the SVJ is way more then the no sale price, and they are the same car #4892.... Mr. G. I am with you in your thinking, and only time will tell. What is your vote for the most expensive/collectible lamborghini?

    As Bob said:

"don't speak too soon, for the wheel's still in spin, and there's no telling who that it's naming..."

I think the Hard Rain is still falling and before it's over prices will fall very far. That's what I think.

    Other's disagree.

    We shall see.
