Does anyone know exactly how many of these cars were made, where are they, and who owns them? There are at least 2, that I'm aware of, a red one and a blue one.

There are six of them made. Some of them have ProDrive button shift (similar to Porsche Tiptronic) and some are equipped with the Willams F1 transmission.

I have driven the #4 FX (blue/blue) with Williams F1 tranny, which is owned by a friend of mine, Dick Marconi. The gear box is a lot different than the Ferrari F1 or the Lambo E-gear.

Compare to the Ferrari's there were some differences in Williams system.
    1. Paddles are steering-wheel mounted, insted of the steering-column mounted (the paddles turns with the wheels).
    2. Like the Formula One system, you can pull the right paddle to upshift, but also can PRESS DOWN to downshift (same with the other side paddle).
    3. The center console has (D-N-R) lever, instead of Ferrari's (N-R) T-handle.
    4. Has a rotary knob for difference shift settings.

I really liked the soft jerky feel when changing gears and paddles felt really nice (was much more natural than the big Ferrari paddles).

One is indeed in the Marconi Museum in California, and the other five are still with the Sultan of Brunei ...
