Im trying to determine the original USA base price for the 1987 328 GTB. I know the GTS base price was $73,200 but I have scoured the Googles and come up with absolutely nothing on the GTB. I figured Id ask here because someone always seems to know the answer to various questions.

    Thanks in advance!

My 1987 Ferrari 328 GTB sold for $70,390.00 at Lake Forest Sportscars on 5/27/87
My White 328 had an optional Leather Dash that the DEALER paid an extra $835.00 for. That was the only option.
For what it's worth the original price sold to the dealer was $58,335.00 from Ferrari North America.

As for a ballpark, in France the "dry" cars were priced in 1988 at
    430.000 francs for the GTB
    440.000 francs for the GTS.
I say "dry" because in the US, some things were already included in the price, such as A/C, roof spoiler, etc; that were options (paying) in our european countries.
Not that there were so many options available...

Ferrari 328 GTB / GTS , June 1988 price list, France:

    Base price: GTB: 430.000 Francs
    GTS: 440.000 Francs

    OPTIONS:
    Antilock (ABS Teves): 16.000 Francs
    Air con.: 13.600 Francs
    Leather dashboard: 7.400 Francs
Roof liner and rear window surround in leather: 4.800 Francs
    Metallic paint: 6.400 Francs
Roof spoiler: 2.720 Francs (instead of black, could be ordered in body color, at no extra charge)
Luggage set, four Schedoni cases: 12.400 Francs

Awesome! Thanks for the data dig. The GTBs are few and far between and of the few 1987 GTBs listed online, none of them had their original window sticker or bill of sale. Also interesting about your leather dash. Most 308/328/348/355s were "optionless". I think the right-side mirror was a no-cost option. White GTB -- very rare!

    Thanks again.

What is REALLY interesting about the leather dash is it's NOT the typical black dash, nor is the interior the typical tan or black.
The car has a brown leather dash, with the same brown leather on the interior door pulls. Brown carpet, with the same brown in the carpet insert at the front of the doors, and then the rest of the interior door panels and seats are kind of a sand color, not tan, not brown not black. Really different from any other 328 I've seen. The interior is VERY similar to my Testarossa interiors. Maybe because the interior is so unique and not like my 328GTS interiors, I like it a lot! Brown seems so eightyish, but it's really okay.

I SPOKE to a salesman at the dealership and he worked there when this car was sold new and he knew it and the buyers. These cars were NOT special ordered, but the dealers had the choice to buy what was offered from Ferrari North America. This car just happened to have something unique to it. I bought the car because it was white and a GTB, the really different interior was just a bonus. .

Hi there, I'm new to the forums. I made an account purely to see if I could find my uncle's 328 and I'm pretty sure yours is it! I don't have the VIN, but since 328 GTBs in Bianco White were so few, and I knew it was an '87, it's pretty easy to narrow down.

I'm hoping I'm right, is this the same car?

Well it looks like you hit paydirt. The car in the picture has the same slight RISE in the front hood where the tubing cracked because someone didn't push the button. Nope there's probably TWO White GTB's but I'd bet this is the only one with the brown interior.

Your uncles car I think was purchased by Drivers Source In Houston texas. When I purchased it from them in 2014 they indicated it was from the Northeast. Feel free to give me a call. My VersaMil name is easily looked up on google for a number

I'm assuming your Uncle is DON, lived in Maryland appears to have owned the car maybe from 2000 all the way to 2014. had it registered in Montana the bulk of the time, but later registered it in Massachusetts???.

Not quite, my uncle owned it from late 2012 to sometime in 2014 I think. He lived on Cape Cod, so that's where it was when it was in the Northeast. I assume he bought it from Don, but I'm not sure. I rode in it exactly once when it was somewhere around 11,000 miles in August 2013 when those pictures were taken, first and last Ferrari I ever rode in.

I have more pictures, but I was 16 when I took them so the quality isn't amazing.

So your Uncle is Gary. Bought the car on November 13 2011.

If you joined Ferrari chat to find your Uncles car- you must have interest in Ferrari's- good for you. The car now has 16,000 miles on it, and other than charging the air conditioner and some other minor things the car has been totally reliable.

To my knowledge the color name of his Brown carpets is Testa di Moro, not an optional color but indeed Testa di Moro carpeting is not comon on 328. I have 10 US 328GTB like this in my database and 24 GTS
With Beige ( Tan ) leather that was my first interior color choice but European 328 with this carpet color are very rare, less car than in US
