    SN WP0ZZZ95ZGN101682 is a street legal, factory built race car with unique history and a recent extensive mechanical rebuild. Production was completed on 3/25/1986, just in time for direct delivery by the race department (dealer code 901) to the first ever Porsche cup race held on 4/26/1986 at the Nurburgring. Campaigned by the only full-time female participant in the series, Annette Meeuvissen, the car comes with much period documentation; including signed driver photographs, timing and result sheets, and an original event program with participant credentials. After running the first season of turbo cup, it was road registered in Belgium and driven approx. 87k miles until being imported into the USA last year.

    Repair receipts go back over ten years, with major maintenance in the last 2k miles totalling over $20k and including the following;
    - Engine rebuild to include new connecting rod bearings and a valve job
    - transmission rebuild
    - full suspension rebuild, including new control arms, shock rebuilds and new bushings
    - brake system rebuild, to include new master cylinder, brake lines, rotors and pads

    This unique piece of Porsche racing history could be considered the father of all future Cup cars, having participated in the very first Porsche single marque cup race at the Nurburgring back in 1986. It is currently presented in the original Porsche factory press livery and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), owners manual with turbo cup supplement, a North Carolina title, and the aforementioned repair receipts and period racing documentation. It can be viewed in Charlotte, NC and is available at 99,000 obo, with interesting trades also considered. For further information, feel free to reach out to Glenn Butler at 704-962-9683

    That's really nice. I have a guards red 86 951 and love it. Is there any engine mods or was it a stock engine?

    Are you able to get regular insurance on this? Will American insurance companies even recognize the VIN? Any idea what kind of power it is making?

    Engine is rated as stock bhp - cars came with a magnesium intake which is an easy identifier for a cup car.

    Yes, it has a USA title and is no different than insuring any other ROW import. It will come up as a 944 turbo. In my experience, it's best to use someone like Hagerty so you can have a stated value policy - just my opinion and certainly don't want the thread to degenerate into an insurance discussion!
