1986 328 gts ferrari badges on mirrors

See page 5 in the "Ferrari parts" chapter, F-Chatter "Emilio" has two for sale. Although I don't know if those for "euro" mirrors and "US flag mirrors" are the same. They are very rare.

Well, usually when Maranello classic says a part is No Longer Available, it Is NLA indeed...

Some "due diligence" is also needed in the archives if the car in question is a US Model, as I am not sure That the early cars had them (??)

This has Me wondering if Ricambi's are original old stock items (hence the price), and the others are reproductions (hence the price).

 

I got two from euro spares and they are very good quality and come in ferrari packaging.. they screw on and include the little nuts..

Defoe improve the look of the mirror..

 

If I remember correctly, the enamel emblem on the side mirrors did not appear from the factory until #75929; which would be approximately mid 1988. Bruno (nerofer) may have additional information.

 

In that case I can only assume that Ricambi are extracting the urine with their $171 price tag.

It goes to show that when it comes to Ferrari parts, it pays to shop around!

 

I believe they appeared first on the European 308 QV cars. My 84 Euro QV is 52703 and has the factory mirrors with the enamel emblems.

 

I think it is from 75929 indeed for US cars, but as I am away from my archives for the week-end, I can't confirm, Paul.
And Gordon is right for euro cars/mirrors: QVs and all 328 have them.
So it depends on the car of the original poster: if it is a 1986 US market car, thèse badges were not présent on the mirrors when the car was new.

Mine's a euro 308 (48345) and has the enamel flags.
