I’m a collector of 80s cars. A 1985 Maserati Quattroporte sedan is for sale locally that caught my attention. It looks to be in excellent condition, 40k original miles, but I’ve heard the older Maseratis can be nightmares to own. Is there any truth to this or can these cars be fairly reliable if maintained properly?

they can be a nightmare if there is excessive pressure in the coolant and the coolant disappear. Electrics can also be "interesting", but other than that, they are great. Remember that now when ee have internet and good networks around the world for enthusiasts, it is another world than when they were new.... It is a fantastic csr to drive when it works like it did when new....
