What a machine !! I have always loved BBis 512 since I was a kid, Question, where can I get a set of seats like the ones in this car ? Would anyone know ?? Thank you
You had me at Hello! Wow, amazing to find a one owner example, with the 7-band equalizer intact. These sure have come down in price. GLWS
Those are redone base fabric seats? Yes the fender stickers would peal off.. wow....one owner 17K miles, does that check out with any Registry??? I would say good value as the US Stock Market heads up again...
Never heard of 'em. So to answer your question? No. If and when I look to purchase a pre-owned Ferrari, It will be from a factory authorized Ferrari dealership. Good luck with your Boxer sale. Joe.
many years ago, I looked at silver over red 84 BBi at Heritage on SM Blvd, It was in perfect shape looks wise anyways, they were asking 100k , I just happen to pass by and decided to take a look. Ferraris of that period, in my estimation made Ferrari , MY OH MY, what a beautiful example of what the Marque is suppose to be. Ferrari took a few steps backward after the 355 , and then came the 458 / 488 as well as the new front mounted V12s 550 / 575 / 599 . Ferrari has lost some of its mystique , what with so many models so fast, that one cant keep up. Today, the F40 , F50 288 GTO and Enzo, may not have the technology of todays Ferrari, but design wise, nothing Ferrari have come out with, including the La F, can compare. Its like the Eagles touring without G. Frey.Razor sharp lines and hard edges are what Ferraris look best in. Thank you
The shields are stickers. They can easily peel off. Re: Pricing. We had a long internal discussion with regard to how we wanted to price this car and decided to price it aggressively to sell it quickly. We think at this price, with the low miles, one owner history, the fact that we did the belt service a week ago, it's an excellent value. With regard to CA smog, at 36 years old, I believe this car is exempt. The seats are the original factory seats recovered. This truly is a one owner car. The original paperwork from Ferrari and the importation documents are in his name and he has owned it ever since, until his recent passing.
No it's not. It has to be 1975 or earlier, and even then it needs to have all of its smog equipment in tact.
That 35 years old rule never made it to become law. The Governator saw to that, he and his multiple Humvee vehicles can burn all the gas they want as long as it has a cat converter.
Your right. But there are lots of Ferrari technicians here that can make sure it passes. So I would not walk away from this awesome car because of CA smog concerns. It is far easier to get the older cars to pass in CA than the new ones with computers controlling the smog equipment. Ask me how I know!!
The problem is IF it is a grey market car (Eu model, imported into USA) then California requires that you modify to add cat converters, smog equipment in order to pass smog test. This is in addition to all DOT modification. It really is very onerous. Now, if one has a second home in Nevada, or Oregon, where it might be possible to register it, then it is much more palatable.
