It is difficult to make a Ferrari look bad, but, the photographer that took these pictures did not do it justice. I would be hard pressed to describe the color of the interior from this work. Probably not red.

As many of you know I have been looking at the 400; I am pretty sure this car was for sale up north, northeast, hell maybe it was in Cali with the SAME PICTURES I am quite sure! I have looked at a bunch as many of you know, Doc

No, it's being peddled pretty hard.

Where does this price come from, I wonder? I have rarely seen an auto with such a price tag. Admittedly it's in loonies, but that's still almost 1 to 1.

 

Certainly not many palm trees in Ontario, Canada - where it seems to be now.

 

zman: weren't you banned shortly a week or so ago right after posting your for sale thread? Then didn't a new user named zzman somehow appear? Is there any connection?

Do you or do you not own this car now and are you trying to sell it?

 

Ad says new tires and exhaust were $13K - not possible. 4 new TRX for my 412 were under $1K and full new stainless exhaust couldn't possible be more than $6-8K

 

I don't know when you bought your TRX tires, Seth, but the current price quote from Coker Tire for the 400i/412 size (240/55VR415) is $529 each so four would run $2,116.

Doesn't take away too much from your general point however that $13k on tires and exhaust is not a real world number unless the exhaust number included some super duper custom headers.

 

zman banned for 3 months; zzman previously permabanned. Repeated attempts to place classified ads in the forums, now a misleading referral to his own car in autotrader. The commentary is interesting, so thread is left open.

I could see it coming... The rules seem pretty clear to me. If the fellow made a mistake then sending an e-mail/PM to Mod explaining as such and then subscribing probably would have prevented the ban.

But:

a. Presenting an advertisement as "info" and not coming clean as the owner is a big no-no
b. Creating another account is a no-no (I am assuming this given the other account was almost the same handle name)
c. Advertising one's car requires a subscription.

My guess is there was more going on than we know which resulted in the Mod's response.

can any of you tell me as I'm looking at a 308 GT4 or a 400i and in the middle between the 2. the 308 looks rough and needs some much TLC. I like the 400i but heavy car and I like the 308 as it's smaller.
Also what will appreciate in the long run.

whay dont you buy the 400i you sent me? Seemed like an honest seller with a nice car? I'd be a buyer but it's an auto

 

I have a customer with a 412 5speed for sale. I just put a new clutch in it today infact. Car is blue with cream color interior. She is in great shape. Runs like a clock. If interested pm me and I can put you in tough with the seller..

 

I jest bought a 400a no motor. out of Wiley Tx. it will arrive next week. after a look see here I am considering sending it to Brett in Alliston Canada. to make a 400. it is a 1977. I had Brett build me the spare 1966 365 gt motor assy.5speed I had.. if any one is interested befor I get into a $30-40,000 car redo let me know. no is the time. this is already $35,000 or close now.
