this car has needs. makes mine look like a trailer queen ! when questionable examples are being snapped up close to what full value prima donnas were selling for recently, you know the model has taken off. by comparison, a newman car would be bumping 500k now.
I had a chance to buy this car at the other prior dealership for $285k but I passed given that It does require significant work ext and int to get it into concours quality. It also has a few cylinders with low numbers relatively to the others on the compression/leadown test and possible issues with rust since it was parked outside in the east coast when it was over there for a short duration and the last belt service was in 2008.
I did talk to Brian through PM here but Brian last worked on the car in 2008 and has not seen it since then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

sam, that is a fine looking example. may i suggest that you list it on BAT to get a bigger and more attentive audience.
Good day Ross, This is not my car nor do I have anything to do with it. I simply post up info, pics, etc of Boxers and 365/400/412s that I find during my Internet play time. My thought was to document the history of these cars for the benefit of future owners. Cheers, Sam
Interestingly, not what you said 5 years ago (top of this page) This assumes not much if anything has been upgraded....it’s barely moved in 5 years
this was my effort to be polite and make a suggestion. would you prefer to have me slag it off and disparage it - again?
You are well-known as a Boxer owner with a good eye for the model. I think all Boxer enthusiasts benefit from your posts, and I imagine all of us appreciate the truth as you see it. If you think the car has big needs, is overpriced, it helps the community learn and evolve. As an owner of other brands, I certainly don't mind constructive criticism about my cars from knowledgeable car people. I don't buy garage queens (can't afford them), I know they are what they are. I buy driver grade cars and spend money making them better.
Just a few numbers away from mine. Some history would help target, but my feeling of where the market is today is that the asking would have been high last August, and maybe higher now. Low 200s?
