1983 400i Auto Chassis 35565 on Ebay

Looks clean but man those red painted bumpers are horrible...

 

Anyone in this forum purchase it? It appears as having been sold for asking price of $55K.

This is also the same car I referenced previously in another post having read about modifying the tranny - does anyone know, or has heard of John Kilgore, as described below:

I am very interested in knowing the technical aspects of this undertaking!

 

I had all the usual major service done when I bought that car. Leak down test to verify the prior owner's test. new belts, oil change etc.
The power steering pump was leaking and I replaced the seals after I had the car for two weeks and noticed the stains.
I'll pull my files and post in detail what I know has been done to this car.
It is a blast to drive fast and a rather heavy steering in a parking lot.
I just reregistered the car in CA for $256 USD and yes it passed smog.
