oh, what i meant was that i'll work on the rest of his parts request...not that i'll fix the torn conveyor.
Thanks a million! My conveyor is torn too, which is why I asked. I can probably use some silicone or something to make it airtight. Add windshield trim to the list too - I'm not sure how straight I can get mine. It never occured to me that SlickMurphy was a member; I thought they were some aftermarket brand of wheel! I'll put the dunce cap on.
Permetex makes a sealant called "Right Stuff"..comes in a squirt can like Cheezwizz..It repaired/replaced the diff seal on my Corvette 15K miles ago perfect..everyone here knows that diff fluid and tranny fluild is nearly impossible to seal..I wish I had known about it before I had to replace both of my "snails"..this WILL work..do a neat job and let it cure over-night and then spray Plasticoat for a brand new look.."snail" are $200USD each (NOS) or unobtainum..this was 10 years back..try this fix..you'll either swear by me or swear at me..Jacques
Brett I may need a steering gear before too long. I am checking my options to rebuild mine. Do you have one with no play on the steering input side and still some adjustment left? Ken
Brett..what is the possibility that you still have the molded(bent) fibere/asbestos exhaust heat shields..mine tore out at the bolt -on holes and fell off..if you don't have them I'll try to fabricate them..once again, thank you so very much..Jacques.
the car is stripped guys. i'll make my way through the master list and test the parts that were requested...stay tuned, we're close now... thanks p.s. Preston, sorry, my mistake...there wasn't a passenger side mirror on the car.
Hi Brett, do you still have the drivers side mirror? - I'm after a 'square' style Vitaloni electric mirror for the left hand side of my (UK) RHD 1977 GT. Thanks, Ray.
I got a pair on Ebay of all places a couple of years ago & sent them to this place as they can cut to code. http://www.keys4classics.com/
Reference is 106614 Corpo antifurto. An online dictionary suggests 'alarm body'. It is a one piece body that includes the barrel + the device that impedes the steering wheel to turn when the key is off. I only need the barrel, I don't know whether it is a one piece device or not. Olivier
Do you still have the "L" shaped cover for the hinges on the RH & LH sides of the front seats (hinging the base to the back of the seat). They're pastic and silver in color. Clint
hey Oliver, i have a complete barrel/ignition switch but i can't (won't) separate it. sorry, good luck. sorry i can't help Clint, but those were spoken for a long time ago. good luck.
Hi, thanks for your answer. If it can't be separated, let it be this way. Could send a pm ? I plan to have it replaced before summer. regards Olivier
I swore mine were metal, had to go out to the garage to check. They're metal, very thin, brushed stainless looking. Are we talking the same thing? Inside part of the seat has the lg. round black plastic seat back adj. knob, outside side of seat has L shaped cover plate to cover the hinge, I swear it's metal but am unfamiliar on how to pry it off w/o damaging it (from a quick glance).
