GLWTS. I have 22679, an absolutely identical 1978 sister. 31,000 km, but no Scaglietti signature. Doubtful I will get one at this point.
Gorgeous car! 121 miles on the odometer during service lol. "Um, sorry it's not quite done yet, eh, we're still waiting on parts..." (flat-12 noises and tires squealing in the. background)
Good day All, Sold today for $261K USD...to another dealer. It will be interesting to see if the purchase was to resell or to keep. Cheers, Sam
Hi Sam, Jack from Southampton, NY here...we have spoken thru the years...thanks for keeping track of these BB (and others). Yes, will be interesting to see if this lovely example hits the "resale" cycle" soon and at what number. Looks like "bargain"...yet BB market is forever "undervalued"...imo.. Best...
Good day Jack, Indeed, I remember our chats! Have you been enjoying your beautiful 365 (GT4 2+2)? I finally found mine in similar colors, but I have been getting it sorted... for some time now You are most welcome with regards to my Boxer and 365/400/412 documentation posts! I am glad that others find them interesting and helpful and if anything allows one to quickly find various details on a particular car or its past sale price. Take care and hopefully we can again sometime soon! Cheers, Sam
Hello Sam: I'm the owner of this car, and not the dealer who was the high bidder. Long and boring story got it from the seller who listed it on BaT soon after the auction closed. We have done business before and the car is exactly as described in the auction listing. Other than put new OEM tires on it I've done nothing to it and have put around 350 miles on it. Cosmetically this car is a very strong #3 but extremely original, even wearing factory paint. Mechanically it's a #1--my type of car as I enjoy driving them. This is my first Boxer; I've been fortunate enough to own and drive other vintage Ferraris and can emphatically state that the Boxer is my favorite by far.
