    Good day All,

In the continued spirit to document our cars... 23999 was listed on Ebay with the drivetrain removed, (but included):

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Ferrari-400-/223322761231?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137

It appears to have been sold for $17877.77 USD... Wow...I suspect parts alone (engine, borrani's, etc) would be in excess of this price!

The last time 23999was mentioned was in this thread from 2008:

I suspect one of the several parts re-sellers may have gotten a hold of this one to part out. I cannot imagine someone who is not part of this forum (or from our European cousins overseas) undertaking the monumental task of perhaps bringing this one back to life. It is too far gone in my conservative estimation - would I be far off the mark?

    Good day OttoB,

Hard to say... I think the parts alone are worth the price. As for a resto... it would depend on a number of factors the first would be to see the car in person to see what it all needs and to decide what level of a resto one wanted. I see in Europe that 400 GT's in driver condition are between 60K to 90K Euro ($68K to $100K USD) and so at $17K USD there is definitely room to work on the car and be ok and/or not be overly upside down dollar-wise

    Cheers,

    Sam

Sad to see another one go. The carbed engine and Borannis are screaming for a re-body project which I'd bet on.
Hopefully the rest will be carefully dismantled and be available to keep other less needy ones alive
