It is my understanding that in 1975 a very small number of 308 GTB's were produced. Of course we have all seen the press and auto show photos of these cars but I was wondering if anyone here was an owner of one of these cars and/or had some photos to share of a 1975 GTB?

Most of those show cars were drug out behind the factory and left to rot.

One of those 308 hardback books has a pic of that 77 308 show car sitting in the weeds

The offficial factory figure is 26 (= twenty-six) 308 GTB produced during the calendar year 1975. And 644 for 1976.

Funny, I was just wondering over the weekend how many of these there were. My 11 yr old son has this old Fcar poster on his wall with about 15 of them on it and the 308 GTB (one of the newest ones on the old poster) says 1975. These would be glass cars, right? so somebody's got to have one stashed somewhere-even if they were never put on the road

If it's got a vin you'd have to get that on the road-man these would be the rarest. Would love to have one next to my '75 GT4

and how are the production numbers on these chassisnumbers?
I know of a car with 1976 chassisnumber but very very low production number, what than should have happened in 1975. Car has some details which led to the conclusion it really is a early car.

    Yes, they would be glass.

As noted these were early show cars, and I am sure there are a few in private hands, they would be the same as all of the coveted '76 'glass cars.

The pictures you see in brochures, the early tail lights, the one with the antenna at the front of the roof, odd details, but basically the start of the "mass production once the prototypes were finalized.

Yes all glass cars, between 700 and 900 total..

    I had a 1976 steel car, North American, #20405

Due to the various Market Versions, there is no "Hard Change" at what WE would consider "Year End"...

Most of the databases have been built with field knowledge, the Ferrari ledgers, never were digitzed, and in any event Build Sheets were long gone by 1975.
