here's a 1975 308 gt4 project. i acquired it about 9 years ago and never got to it as age caught up with me. the car was poorly stored in a carport and the nose and exhaust were exposed to the elements. the engine is out with the removed parts. the heads and accessories have been removed the short block turns freely. the car includes many new, rebuilt and extra parts. tool roll and jack set are included. the heads have been machined and redone with new stainless valves and new guides, and milled .008" carburetors are already rebuilt. new water pump and pulley, plus new plug wires, new timing belt cogs for round tooth gates racing belts. new timing belt tensioner bearings. new clutch pressure plate and disc. new top end gasket set and various other new gaskets and small connector hoses and couplers. rebuilt calipers were installed and cores are included. original cams are pitted and an extra set of cams include for regrind. tappets are stored in plastic boxes and marked as to position in heads. a new drag link as well.the original leather interior is stiff but not torn or cracked. i'm new to this forum but have been a lurker for a long time. i'm the same handle on pelican (1800+ posts) as i'm a porsche guy and have sold a few cars there. i just recently shipped a roller to california and i'm happy to assist with help crating the loose bits and delivering to the port of hilo. you. i have tons of pictures of the removed parts and take the car outside later this week to get better pics of the body and photograph the underside and chassis. the car is offered at $18500us/offer. i can be reached by phone or text at 808-895-5182. cheers, geoff

That's a project all right. Could be fun for the right person. Any idea what the color is? Rosso rubino maybe? I like the color.

yes, i think it's a nice color as well. it's a suble metallic. i was told the car was ruby red originally, don't know if this is that. chassis is solid, wouldn't take a fortune to make a good driver. did you see the last one on bat? these have a good looking upside and future value. btw my cellphone is acting up and can only get texts. if anybody needs to reach me my hard line is 808-965-1335 and my email [email protected]. cheers, geoff

yes. it will cost $2250 to geet the roller to either san francisco or san diego and i'll crate the loose parts for materials cost. the freight for the crates should be about $400 -500to the coast. i figure $175 in materials to build. i just shipped a roller in nov. with pasha lines. dependable express is best freight from here for the crates. i will deliver the car to the port of hilo for free, it's only 30 mlles from here. if you're in hawaii, it can get everything to another island for about $450. i'm on the big island. cheers, geoff

This would be a fun project if only I had a bigger garage. Currently project E Type is taking the space.

And it is already pretty close to me!

If you pay someone to perform the work it will cost at least 300K to restore.

I posted a comment on the auction site that the car is worth more as a parts source than as a restoration project. It got 1 “like.” The mirrors, wiper blade carriers, instruments, wheels, engine components, steering wheel, tail light lenses, fuel tanks, glass….assuming all those are original and serviceable….are worth more than what it appears will ultimately buy this car.
