Very low mileage with only 16900 miles show on the odometer. It has been in a private collection since 1984. It was acquired through the current owners good friend, Bob Fergus, who took in in on trade at his VW/Porsche dealership for a new Porsche (Bob was a well known sports car racer since beginning a racing career in a MG TC in 1949). This Miura is the 98th production car and completed December 12, 1967. This is one of the first 124 cars with the lightweight .9mm thickness chassis, later car were produced from 1mm sheet metal. It was delivered new to Jake Kaplan's Lamborghini East dealership, 464 Broad Street, Providence, Rhode Island. The identity of the first owner is unknown to us, only that he traded it in on a new Porsche in 1983 or 1984. The original color of the car was Miura Verde, a very interesting color, yet not an easy sell in the early eighties. Fergus had it painted a red garnet metallic color and had the interior re-upholstered in tan leather from its original mustard color. Miura Verde/Mustard would have been very interesting to say the least! The current owner decided it was time for a more suitable color and in 1997 delivered it to Alan Powell of Mishawaka, Indiana. Alan had painted several other car in his collection and he always did a beautiful job. Fly Yellow was the chosen color. Shortly after Alan completed the paint work the car was shown in the Amelia Island Concours, finishing second in class. The rest of the car is so original that it appears to still retains the original Pirelli CN72 HS rear tires and spare, as there are no date codes on them. The front Pirelli CN72 HS tires appear to carry a three digit 1971 date code. The engine was removed in the mid nineties and a valve job was performed at my shop. Other than a new fuel pump and master cylinder, the rest of the car is largely untouched. It is in running and driving condition, although, a thorough mechanical inspection and new tires would be required before road use. $1,000,000 Thanks for looking, Jeff Moore
I have NO idea of the current market, but? That is SO lovely, in my eyes! Very few cars I'd rather own. Absolute best wishes on the sale.
I don't buy lottery tickets often but I think I'll snap some up. Hold that car just in case. Beautiful, sexy car. Best luck with the sale.
Wow this is beautiful car. I have always loved the design of the Miura's and the 246 Dino's. Both are my all time classic cars I would like to own.
Wow, great car. Alan Powell there's a name I haven't in a while. I used to hang out at his shop a little and saw him working on this very Miura, giving him some tips, not that he needed too many. Got him to change over from the old school lacquer paints to base coat clear system, later on. Met him while working on Tom Mittlers cars whom also was a big customer for Alan. Here's a car that I built for Tom from scratch, made the molds for and parts while Alan painted and paid attention to all the details. Hello, What a fantastic car !! Could you please give us the chassis number ? I thank you in adavance. Regards Alain
Market Correct , unless you are after an early Miura..then I would call this price a steal! Wonderful! GLWS
o/t Time for some interesting chest thumping. Rob Lay sat in the car ! Hit triple digits on the freeway in LA on a Lamborghini-only fun run. No ****ty F cars were permitted to hang with us. AllanLambo and others are my alibi. The bravest person I know is the unknown Gallardo driver who also attended the fun run and was in front of me when I drove around the blind curves. Did you know this thing cannot stop on a dime. Most likely the last guy to ever get a free lunch and other amenities just after driving the car. Courtesy of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. Thanks for the flatbed. Dale can confirm the nice story ^. Luigi thanks for immediately contributing dinero, to the MCSD. Grazie Amici. My wife will kill me if she hears about the current value Most fun Lamborghini EVAR.

They used to be such a steal! It was such an innovative car. I’m glad the values have gone up and that the Miura is recognized for just how innovative it was.
