1965 Ferrari 250 GTO replica or shall we say Recreation. I would mind driving this replica and I am anti replica.

it says on the web link:

This car was shipped to well known coach builder and GTO specialist , Allegretti in Modena, Italy. The process began by removing the original 330 body and shortening the frame to the correct original GTO dimensions. Allegretti is considered by many to be one of the finest builders of GTO bodies and was soon at work fabricating a new body.

How much is it being offered for? I was offered a 330 GTO a couple of months ago for around $500K. It seems the labor and parts can account for 100 to 200K plus the value of the base car and some premium. After thinking about it, I came to a conclusion that spending half a million dollars for a fake car seemed ridiculous to me. It's a shame a 330 2+2 had to die for this 'copy' to be born

From the ad copy: "Here is a chance for you to look like you're a multimillionaire. Check out this 1965 Ferrari 250 GTO replica or shall we say Recreation." If you can afford $500,000 for a plaything car, you *are* a multimillionaire.

If I was to see this car in person and if it was in a show environment I doubt I would think this car's fake. Looks pretty nice.
