    john,

    great photo's!!!!

you have a great owners set, unfortunately, most new dino owners won't find the same type of items or set of books in their "new" car.

the wax paper wrapper for the key fob is the rarest thing in your set. your books and wallet look completely correct for your car, based on it's vin #.

for those who won't to get EVEN MORE anal retentive, there is so much more you can hunt down, assuming you can find a lead.

you have oil/tack clothes, battery warranty info, a/c warranty info, "special" additional paperwork, lube charts and conversion charts (for 74 models), brake info, clock tags, and the list just goes on and on.

most of this "JUNK" has very limited appeal, but when someone is really after it, it is a non-stop search.

thanks for posting what you have and what most dino owners would love to have. for those who care and don't have it, the effort for the search is always aggrivating, but well worth it.

the cloth you show is the shell cloth. there is also an agip cloth that is correct for the late dino's. it doesn't have the agip logo printed on it, but originally cam in a an agip plastic bag.

stupid for those who care about dumb stuff like this, but a relevent point. agip became the official oil supplier in the second half of 73, so all late dino's would have had the agip cloth instead of the shell cloth.

Am I right in assuming that these items are for sale?

Thank you. My GT is June 1973, so the cloth fits. Can you help me with the missing part on the strap of the pouch?

    Stephen,

I bought a 246GT RHD last year. I have just managed to get hold of a set of documents for it after searching the internet and the dealers around the world. it costs a hilarious amount of money too. There are people out there who can supply a repro leather pouch and the documetns themsleves appear form time to time on ebay, they always go for silly money and winning the auction against experienced bidders is not easy.

If you look on ebay.co.uk there is an original looking set including pouch for sale but the auction ends in an hour and the price has already gone wild ($5k for those who miss it)

there are many more types than just the three you show. however, these three are the most commonly seen in owners sets.

of the three pictured, the tan interior pouch is the oldest. the red interior with the dino script "boxed" on the cover is the second oldest, and the red interior with the "unboxed" dino script is the pouch you are most likely to see on the 1974 dino's

Anybody have a high def pic of the original key fob that came in that little wax-paper envelope?

Anyone have an original they can photograph next to a reproduction for comparison?

a pretty crude key fob guide, but you can see the factory fobs on the top and the non-factory or repro fobs below

There's something you can shop for.

yours is a repro from AJ, which is very good.

BTW no concours deduction for not having a fob.

the aj marton fob is the best repro i have seen.

however, there is nothing like the real thing. they are very difficult to find and under-appreciated. i don't think they will ever be worth mor ethan they are now, but they are still something cool to have. like all "jewelery" like this, dino or ferrari, they don't add judging points, but they definitely add to the story. a repro is never as good as a beat to crap original (just ask the cobra guys)
