Does anybody know more about this car? Special chassis? Modified? Engines? etc. Francois Sicard built the car in cooperation with Dick Fritz. Sicard has still a shop in Ridgefield CT
This is another reason why we need a "Classic Ferrari" section . According to the FC definition of "Vintage Ferrari", 365GT/4 info should not be posted here.
Awesome thread! i was just asking about these cars in the General discussion area a few days ago. I have read that there were 4 or 5 512bb/lm, anybody know if any are in california. I would love to see one up close. great pics. vincent
Vincent: there are a few of them. I have seen one car multiple times @ sears / laguna. Perhaps it'll be out next sunday? --Dan
Here's to hoping... when I first saw it, I didn't even realize the significance of the car and sort of glossed over it. The owner is very cool, though. --Dan
You are right! Francois did build most of the car. I watched its' progress when Chinetti had the shop at 600 West Putnam Ave. in Greenwich, CT. Francois is one of the unsung heroes and a great guy. He prefers to stay out of the limelight. I was a helper and floor sweeper then. One of the photos from LeMans also has Nereo Iori in it. Iori is one of the best engine transmission mechanics in the States. He too is a good friend and has finally retired. Great car and and even better response to request for photos!

This look-a-like is a real Le Mans contender with serial number 18095 that raced Le Mans in 1975. I never understood why the french owner made it look like 18139. Here is a pic of 18095 in Le Mans 1975. Image Unavailable, Please Login
On the internet should be (maybe was) a small video of 18139 racing in the US a couple of years ago. Who has downloaded that movie?

Hi everyone, There seems to be a lot of confusion about these early BB/LMs. Some years back I investigated these cars, and can state the following as correct; 18095 only ran once - Le Mans 1975 All the other 1975 races and 1977 were 18139 (despite what some books etc say. They are based on wrong information that was published and has been perpetuated by repetition. Sorry - if everyone has already worked this out) As the pics on this thread seem to have died with the outage can anyone repost their original race photos? I am researching these cars for a book that I hope to have published in 2005, so any photos will help. Thanx - Nathan
