The rear end is seriously beaten with an ugly stick. It's incoherent, very large, way too tall, reverse lights looks Japanese, tail pipes only make the car look even taller. I photoshop some basic elements in an attempt to make the car look lower, but the result is marginally better. I think the new Maserati GT will look better. I hate the back of it. It looks better with the top on I think. Eh. Just don't like this at all i guess.
One of the problems I have with these shots is the same problem as Ferrari's initial ones in that they are shot from low down and so really don't give you a normal view of it from standing as you would in real life.
Wow, you can make out the JC Whitney coach signature script on the body. This design shall prove to be a memorable one. Memorable in the same fashion as stapling your testicles to a park bench with a jack hammer.
And conveniently located in a place that's hard to reach and placed on a screen that's easy to smudge.
I hope there's an alternate method; what happens when that lowest-bidder-sourced display breaks down?
Judging from the wildly successful and super-dooper reliable displays in the F430 and 360 (with the F355 F1 indicator as a precursor), I'd strongly recommend an Auto Club membership when owning a California. What a stupid, dumb mofo idea. Sometimes, simplicity is actually better. Look fellas, the stripped down CS and Scuderia are a runaway hit for a damn good reason. Less is more.
Ugh, I hate most GTs because a Ferrari isn't a car that I'd drive every day... But HELL! Thats a sexy beast.
This is great news! The car is so 'un-special' and will be produced in such numbers that we can look forward to very reasonable resale prices within 2 -3 years of on-sale. The aftermarket will perceive it in just the same way as the unloved Mondial - i.e. it will be relatively cheap when compared to the more desirable cars in the range (430 and its successors)...
I have been sitting back and looking at the pictures for a few weeks now and overall the car looks "okay" with the exception of the bulbous, frumpy back-end. It belongs on a Korean economy car. The shape and size of the back-end reminds me of a toddler with a load in his diapers. Too bad.
I really think thats a good looking car. Although, the rev counter looks like (clearly looks like) the RX8's... Sad.... And a "comfort" button? Hmm... What the hell is that silver plastic looking slice in between the seats?? Interior is not so amazing.... Great pics Andrew, thanks for posting! _J
+1 ..... +2 lol It does not look special or unique whatsoever IMO. One used to be able to spot an F-car in traffic instantly. It looks like a Z4/boxster hybrid........ ................ it seems they intentionally went out of their way to make it a very 'safe' design. It is far too mainstream for my taste............... though it will most likely be a huge 'cash cow' for them..........
yes finally, and the final is not so bad..i like the front, the rear is horrible in my taste the profil looks good, interior looks fantastic really nice ergonomie BUT a Tv inside a Ferrari....no comment. today Ferrari looks much more Lambo.....
That front end is going to look mighty goofy with a license plate. And a "comfort" setting? Let's see now, my new Ferrari California has a "comfort" setting but my sofa does not have a "sport" or "race" setting. Something is not right.
I'm pretty sure that is not a touchscreen! The start button is on the steering wheel, same as F430 and 599. The display on the dash is probably simply pointing out the obvious when you put the key in and the engine is not running: "Press button to start!" "Comfort" setting on the manettino? What's next, a "Pose" button?
Very plane jane Ferrari parts bin styling. I am sure the nouveau riche in the BRIC countries will love it!
