I see it, but I had to look from a low angle. All I see is an white outline around the stairs and the metal

I think what you guys are seeing is actually the top of the rail and the stairs. Just the bright light from above.

If not I don't see what you are seeing I guess, it looks perfectly normal to me.

Yeah its the reflection of the bright sun, then when changed to B&W it turned just white. That's the top of the rail and the type of concrete they used for the skate park.

Don't worry about it. It's faint enough that I wouldn't have noticed it without somebody pointing it out.

Using the recovery accesory slider in ps would have brought contrast normality back..

When I convert to BLK /WHT....

I do all my tweaking in color , then de saturate...It makes a difference as tweaking certains shades after you have de saturated do nothing to pic...
if you bring in and out the desired highlights in color..they do have an effect on the Blk/Wht image....
The preset formulas that my ps lightroom has for Blk / Wht....just dont cut the mustard...
Manual and Raw all the way

Great Turn out this time....6 days 2 go
    Great Thread for Photogs!

At first I thought it may be radiated heat from the metallic rails, then I noticed it's around the stairs and shadows as well.

    Very interesting.

I didn't see it here at work but did barely see it when looking at it last night at home. Guess monitor and screen resolution make a difference.

How many actually have a properly calibrated monitor?

At my bro's job they get specialists to do that work properly.

I was thinking about submitting this picture for the contest, but as I enhanced the saturation, I discovered some strange artifacts:

Haven't really looked for something this time, so just had to use a pic I took a while ago.

A Roedeer looking back at me outside work.

Two seconds after I lowered the camera a second Roedeer jumped out from the bushes between me and the deer in the pic. And he was up at a hight over the head of the deer in the pic.

I was not quick enough :-s

Officially resubmitting my entry. The skateboard kid photo wasn't up to par so I'm using this one. Not sure if it's better or worse for the contest itself but come on... it's a freakin' 300 SL!!!
