Wow, great shot, I like the lighting in her hair. This thread is going to get interesting and hard to vote for.

Thanks, much appreciated. Here is a "retro" shot fitting in nicely with the B/W topic. Sadly it was taken on 2/12, so it doesn't qualify: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool shot. I think a retro theme is what is best suited for a B/W shot. I was trying to convey that with my Beatles picture. No offense but for instance the shot of the 250 GTO in a modern environment to me looks simply like a picture that is missing its colors. Now a B/W picture with a period correct background (think Goodwood) addresses that issue quite nicely (and no, this is not taken within the contest's period either): Image Unavailable, Please Login
thanks! I disagree that a modern shot of the 250 GTO in a modern environ cannot look right... but I'll save my comments until the actual contest
Taken yesterday at a local skate park. Bokeh and action in the same shot D90 200mm f/5.3 ISO 400 High-Res: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pt1202/5500242677/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm trying to figure out what the halos around the metal and stairs are. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything quite like that.
nice to know I'm not seeing things... saw that too and thought it was a monitor thing or some such...
