Can anyone tell me what external and internal color the 009S was in the photos of the time?
I read on a site that at the 1948 Geneva Motor Show it may have been white. It's true?

Never seen a picture of 009/S at the Geneva Show (1949, not 1948 btw).

There must be some confusion with 011/S...

    011 S is a Cabriolet.
    009 S is a Coupé.

Yes, of course Marcel, but I haver never seen a pic of 009/S at the 1949 Geneva Show, so may be people have confused with 011/S which was there ?

Coachbuilt.com probably took their information from Barchetta.cc.
Barchetta mentions both 007S and 009S as 1948 Geneva Show cars:
    http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/007S.166Inter.htm
    http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/009S.166Inter.htm

Barchetta quotes the book Tipo 166 as information source (page 67 for 007S and pages 35 and 74 for 009S) ....
If someone has the book would it be possible to confirm if the problem comes from the book or from the Barchetta referencing ?

It looks anyway strange as 005S was only seen in September 1948 in Torino (still according to Barchetta).

By the way there is even better on this page ... it mentions even 011S as 1948 Geneva Show car:

Some people mix up 1948 with 1949.............
One may also want to verify the factory completion date as some cars weren't even built by 17 March 1948, when the Geneva motor show began.

009,011 both used to be in Cambridge, Ma. In the early 1979s-on Brattle st. as I recall(50 yrs ago....so be careful..)
Brattle street is like North St. in Greenwich, CT. In those says-old, old, old money...

the car was a dark maroon then as I recall, a quite “small” car in person: I think it was both for 25k-which was pretty steep for these in those days(reference: TdF-1850.00, alloy swb-4500.00, S1 Mondial that I drove home-2100.00)..but that was what it was 50 yrs ago, BEFORE the “restoration” industry had been born as a byproduct of the first Monterey Historic event! An event which spawned that which we’ll all know today-from my perspective.

back then, NOBODY even KNEW what these things were, let alone cared about them....

time marches on, and why not
