I have been pondering for some time but finally ordered the 16s. This picture helped me decide it was a good decision .... Image Unavailable, Please Login
https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/308.html I'm not sure you need any more options. you can just buy the perfect Michelin XWX https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/205-70-14/205-70wr14-michelin-xwx.html what other option do you need when you have perfection available? you can just buy easily. If you want to go a bit left feild then there is the CN36 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/308/205-70-r14-pirelli-cinturato-cn36.html this is what the Fiat Dino fitted and they are very cool, also W rated and a few quid cheaper, but XWX is OE and they are pretty sexy Ferrari tyres. There is still the TRX if you want https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/308/220-55wr390-michelin-trx.html I'm not sure there are tat many proper 16" tyres. The P7 is the only proper one i know of that will suit your chassis set up properly https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-collezione/cinturato-p7.html Is that something you want? I know in the day people fitted 16" to make it look more like a 328, but now surely if you want a 328 instead of a 308, you just buy that car don't you?
In 25 years, I cant tell a night and day difference between tires. I used an off brand "extreme summer" tire this past weekend on the track. I was so impressed that I cannot wait to use them out there again. These were 225 50 on all 4 corners.
I sometimes wonder what Ferrari was thinking when they decided to use 14 inch wheels on the 308s . Thank you
