Agreed. It's just now ducking below the 90's down here. Still a good 2 or 3 weeks before things really change. Beach sounds MUCH easier!
Of course beaches are easier for someone in South Florida As would fall foliage be for someone in the Midwest/Upper South where there are no beaches around. I propose that we have two topics and the photographer can choose which to post: 1) Fall Foliage 2) Beaches and let the overall best picture win
I like this but have another suggestion as well. If you're set on one topic, why don't we do water or foliage. This way if water is the topic then everyone can participate whether your photo be of the beach, a waterfall, lake, etc. Or the same with foliage. Palm trees for us, redwoods for the NW, or fall colors for every non-Floridian. Just a suggestion Either way I'll do my best to submit an entry.
I totally blew this one off as there was NO way I could come up with something around here, but I can definitely do a beach scene..
Keep that in mind as a topic for your win. That sounds like a great one for a summer month where there are some reenactments etc going on.

I have a waterfall by a beach with a beautiful fall backdrop behind. I'm going to hire civil war reenactors to stage a battle on the beach. Cannons and everything.

That's a cool shot Andreas. As Chris started these, he said the winner couldn't win again, if that makes sense. I'm curious as what everyone else thinks. I don't mind if Andreas or any future winner posts and wins again, but I would rather see someone else win (no offense), instead of 'make it, take it' in basketball, then it would be a repetitive cycle if someone kept winning over and over again. I don't want to sound harsh and be a 'rule-follower', but how would it be if we let the winner post another picture, but if they win, they can choose anyone that participated to choose a new theme, such as who they felt had the best photo, or anyone they wanted.
