So is beach life official? I have a great idea for fall foliage but it would be impossible down here.
I have no problem if "Beach life" is now official. I was trying to come up with something easy enough for everybody so we'd get more contributors and totally forgot about the foliage in the South changing a lot later. So if Beach life it is, I'm fine with it. Agup48?
Too much responsibility.... I'll go for "Beaches" then: It includes our friends from the South and it gives the rest of us a nice challenge: Beach life per se is over, but we still have our beaches. Deserted and cold as they might be now. Should still make for some good fotography as long as we're not looking for happy kids digging sand castles and bikini girls. Sorry agup48. You'll have to "fake it" with some desert sand.

Sorry, I'm not the one who started the photo contests, I've just kept it going for the past few rounds, so I don't know exactly what the dates are and for some reason, I thought the last one was 2 weeks, so I made this one 2 weeks. I'll have a mod change it to a month. 11/3 will be the deadline. Tifosi12, it's still in your hands to change or keep the topic. Sorry for the massive confusion
I'd like to hear it from our friends in the south whether this gives them enough time or not. By now I actually like beaches but I'm ambivalent.
Honestly I don't think we'll have too much "fall" colors by then. Maybe up in Gainesville by me, just a little, but no way in S. Flo.
You don't even have deciduous trees for the most part. You waiting on the cactus and palms to fall. I feel like I'm at the small town public meeting at the fire dept.
I like beaches. It's generic enough that anyone should be able to find something to shoot even if it's a riverbank beach (or irrigation canal beach for Aswhin?). I'm even thinking I might try to combine beaches with foliage if time allows and I find something I like!
I'm glad you like it. So do I. Our beaches are deserted by now which should make for some nice "noir" shots
