Or both? My deposit is in, coupe.
In for Spider, but considering coupe. It's more unique, and the glass roof is very intriguing. If I keep the 812GTS, no need for this spider.
Great if that’s the case…but, it won’t be. My recently delivered 812 GTS base price was $466,680. Plus Freight of $5,000 and “additional costs” of $3,000. At least in the U.S. we won’t see many cars for at least 18 months. So, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the base price of a 12C spider over $500,000. Highly optioned builds will approach $700,000.
I am thinking keeping 812 gts and add the coupe. But I am actually going to order sf90 spyder this week. So maybe I just see how 12c looks in person before I hard turn down the 12c allocation offer. Btw, can you accept that the 12c exhaust is so much more muted comparing to our gts?
Will definitely need some aftermarket work. Ferrari needs to offer something. Would make our lives so much better.
Thinking this too. The spider is pretty, but I’m intrigued by the pano roof and styling of the coupe. Will see it in person first.
For the exhaust, ask the government, as all this fuss is their fault. They might be able to give you an exemption for a free-flowing exhaust. for the design it’s pieces of art but don’t easily understand
Limited allocations for the spiders at first wave, not high enough level of a customer I am to get it now. But yeah, maybe someone will bail out eventually and I will be given his spot
I’m sure you will, my dealer told me there are no factory sales restrictions it’s up to the dealers. Obviously the heavy hitters get first allocations but I’d be confident you get one in the 2nd or 3rd round. Given the premium over the coupe, they’d be crazy not to pump them out.
The spider has the design air of and engine of an SP. It should have been called the Daytona and the Daytona should have been a Testarossa . But then I only buy these things and enjoy them for what they are- moving art - warts and all. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Deposit is in for a coupe, with the option to switch to a spider. However, I want to see the car in person before deciding which direction to go.
For those that went to the unveiling event...were you able to sit in the car? As a tall driver (6'5") I am curious how the cockpit area compares to the 812 & 812GTS.
Something I’d like to know as well. The SF was perfect for me 6’2” but the GTS due to lack of recline with the seat all the way back. Hope the 12C and CS are better. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Had my deposit in for the coupe but right after I saw the GTS, I called the dealer and had them put me down for the GTS.
Are people's dealers really talking about allocation guarantees? My dealer's deposit form specifically indicates that acceptance of a deposit is no guarantee of an allocation. Did your dealer refuse to take a Spider deposit?
A $500K base would be a steep increase over European pricing. $700K for a non-limited edition model seems like lunacy to me. But, someone will pay it.
mine says same. Suspect we are same dealer. I could have done deposit on either. Chose coupe but want to see cars before I move forward (assuming I get an allocation way down the road, I'm a newbie).
The time of deposit depends on your relationship with the dealer - understandable - because there are more orders than allocations. Friends of mine get different conditions than me at the same dealer to separate wheat from chaff so no detailed info by me about my conditions. Same for the delivery period.
