Alex Kustov is a very talented model builder. I, too, enjoy his work.

    Steve,
The attention to detail is impressive. I noticed on the website he provides custom building services. Did you have him custom build it for you? Just curious because I've been looking for a replica of our 328 GTS (red/tan).

    Hi Kevin,

You are right on...I got him to builld it for me. I had the kit that I had bought a long time ago, before I even owned a full scale Ferrari. I sent it to him and I have been talking to him ever since. One of these days I am going to get him to build me a 288 ( my fav 4re of all time).

I have my little 328 sitting here on my desk and it cracks me up everytme I see the NC plate on the back.

    Ciao'

    Steve

PS...remeber when I loaned you my Jetronic unit...and your Dad asked about slow starting....you are right...my car has always done that and I didn't even think about it till I put my unit back in and took it for a drive.

just an FYI.....and you are welcome to use my car as a parts loaner anytime ;)

    Steve,
Thanks for the info. I'll have to check with him to see if he's still able to get the kits for a 328 GTS and if he would want to build a red/tan one. I would try it myself, but I haven't built any replicas in quite some time and I'm afraid it would look like more like some of these kit cars I've seen on e-bay than a Ferrari!

We've been playing around with a few things regarding the cold start/hot start/rough idle issue. With your unit in the car, we never had an issue with the hot start or rough idle, but did notice a little hesitation on cold starts. Now with our old unit back in (and several connections cleaned), we haven't been able to replicate the rough idle but surprisingly the cold start issue is still there, but seems to be minimal. However, we have gotten our hot start issue back again. We're working with Tom to troubleshoot one thing at a time. One thing we adjusted was the lean/rich mixture and only 1 occurrence of the hot start issue since then. We'll see!

Let's hope we won't have to "borrow" any more parts from your car for troubleshooting purposes, but I appreciate the offer!

    Kevin
