Not sure, but thinking just how good the 1/18 die-cast version from BBR is, this sealed one, does not make much sense in the same scale....although wit diferente livery, and it looks very nice to.
ok, but there are still plenty of 512 lms from BBr on ebay, and they are about 300$, wich is a steal compared to what BBr charges for their current high end sealed models. BBr 512lms are probably the best model they ever did.
I just don't get it either. The people at CMC are numbskulls some of the time, well, actually a good deal of the time. Too bad they don't put the extra effort & money into making more accurate models. Here is what I am told is from a recent CMC press release from 2020 Toyfair: ‘’ In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the marque, CMC offers an exclusive novelty that stands out like a “gem” from the rest of offerings so far – a replica of the Ferrari 275 GTB/C that is elaborately crafted and gilded in 14-carat gold. Limited to 500 pcs and gold- plated, it is a “gem” in the true sense of word. To protect its valuable gold-gilt surface, the elegantly shaped body is sealed with a clear layer of varnish.‘’ Really stupid, and if... the plating were actually a good reasonable thick plating - same as some watchmakers use (which I'll bet it is not) then there would be no need at all to seal it with "varnish." CMC calls it a "gem", but I can think of plenty of other words for it, and none are positive.
yes, they can keep this gold plated **** and 300 versions of pullman. only model i am looking forward from them is alfa romeo p3. just hope they will make nuvolari nurburgring winner version and wont screw it up
LOLOLO, Maybe they should quit making scale models, and dedicate themselves to sculpting and other things, at least they could use their creativity and no longer be forced to do "acurate" models....
I really hope Looksmart will release those F40 lms this year, and the af corse 488 gt2...and tecno the 64 gto..then i can rest! ooo, a 166mm lm would be peachy
