I have a 550, the only one I would consider swapping for is the 812, and that would be as an even trade.

With the stock system, ECU sends a signal via a 4 pin connector to the stock coil pack which then sends high voltage to the plugs via the HT...

Depends on how deep your pockets are. I would be budgeting $15K for motor alone to be safe.

I don't know, but it isn't long. My 550 has 27K miles on it and the motor mounts were shot. They had already been upgraded to the 575 mounts...
I'll let John verify, but he sent plugs with the COP kit he sent me.

What oil is being used? I had a similar issue with my 550, oil was changed by one of the most respected independent shops in the mid-Atlantic area...
Here's a third that doesn't like the high pitched F1 scream.
I had a similar routing issue on my 550. Had the belts done and the cable replaced, and installed properly. Throttle effort is much less now.
I see no issue with cutting/extending CTEK's wiring as long as you use the same gauge wire.
