I just tried on my Pista and the procedure does not work (priming). Does work on my GT with the clutch depressed and gas pedal to the floor.
Let me try it on my Pista, worked on my Scud.
You should also be able to push the gas pedal to the full open position (floored) in neutral where the motor will turn at starter speed.
All the ones I have seen are painted light grey.

That is very normal for a Pista. Those ceramic rotors need to be hot to work properly. My Scud was the same.

Is the proprietary ECU specific to the Pista? The text sometimes refers to the 488. Please clarify.
