Post up about any interesting cars you see in the streets of the GVRD! I saw this beauty on Burrard and 1st a few days ago: Image Unavailable, Please Login
tonight I saw a lady ( around the late 20s) driving a 360 spider on robson and hornby..........the car was blueish silver in colour and had a challenge grill
Today: silver 550 maranello behind Weissach Motorcars (in the alley) also, the Gallardo is now in the Weissach showroom Also, silver Bentley Azure at Burrard and 1st as well as a stunning black E39 M5 (without a speck of dirt on it, even though it was drizzling before) at Spanish Banks
I know this car very well! It belongs to a lady friend of our family. I drove it shortly in my neighborhood last summer. My first time driving a Ferrari!
On Friday, there was a silver 360 Modena, I saw it at Granville and Broadway. Also, Weissach has a 550 Maranello... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Heres a nice update for January: Black 550 Maranello with Alberta plates, absolutely gorgeous...spotted driving down by Spanish Banks, headed towards W 4th...
Found this while searching for something else on one of my discs... Taken a couple of years ago, on Esplanade in North Van, just outside of the Italian Car Show in Waterfront Park. A pre-war Frazer Nash TT. Very rare and enthusiastically driven by its owner often (regularly appears at the Vintage races in Mission). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool Peter! I am looking forward to the show at Lonsdale Quay this year. Hoping the weather will be as nice as last year. A great time. DJ
I'm looking forward to it too, seeing as its the biggest thing that goes on up here, in respect to Italian cars. In the seven years that I've been going to this event, it has only rained (and I mean it poured) on one occasion. Ooops, I hope I didn't just jynx it by saying that! As for the Frazer', I really love old cars like that. There are many things about them that I just find extremely facinating (mechanical operating systems, simple construction exposing one to the elements and to the goings-on of the machine, intricate details of components, etc...).
What a day today!! I was filling gas at the Chevron on Burrard by 4th, and a yellow 355 Spider pulls into the gas station! So I'm pumping my gas, gawking at the Ferrari, and a minute later, a Lambourghini Diablo VT pulls in too!! I nearly had a heart attack...amazing luck for me
No kidding, that's pretty good considering it wasn't exactly exotic-car weather today. Unfortunately for me, no such sightings like that out here in hicksville (the other side of the Port Mann bridge). :-(
Im pretty sure that diablo was fake....I know the guy who owns a yellow 355 and 2 fake lambos.....one red and one silver
Yellow F355 and a fake silver Diablo? Any chance that the guy owns Platinum Touch Carwash (formerly Rent-A-Benz) in Richmond? The giant plastic like rotors without calipers and the various plastic parts in the interior is a dead giveaway to the authenticity of that Diablo.
I thought it was fake too...Id seen the same colour Diablo at Rent-A-Benz, and my friend's cousin was driving it around for a bit...apparently it has a Fiero engine...the guys driving were both under 25 I think...gave me a really weird look
Well this is all very interesting (and funny) about that Diablo at the car wash in Richmond....I have seen it many a time as I blast by on my way to Yaohan. It is always parked out front on sunny days with the doors open. Doesn't really fit in with all the C series Benz parked nearby. Next time I will yell "FAKE", as I drive by....
I cannot begin to explain to you people how I KRINGE at the thought and sight of a fake exotic. It is simple......either you go BIG or GO HOME. The only replica's I would ever consider is the Cobra because it is sooo damn exact! I live in little italy here in Toronto and you see a few Ferraris of course......but then there is also the guy ripping across College St. with a hyped up Fiero-wanna-be-308! And the funny thing is.........these guys think we can't tell the difference. *sigh* Whatta gonna do? Cheers guys! Vasco
Red Lamborghini Diablo spotted on terminal street at main. The guy had an aftermarket exhaust! beautiful machine!
If its a 99+ diablo....then its fake.....because theres a fake 99.....but theres also a real 91 diablo in red
It was one of the early ones with those 5 hole wheels. I went to my car drove a bit and spotted the red Diablo in one of the garages between main and terminal and the scissor door was opened and the interior revealed and it's definitly a real one, but like you said a real early one. It had an aftermarket exhaust with quad pipes in the shape of an ovalized rectangle. And it sounded beautiful!
