Tradition has it that I name my cars after assassinated world leaders. I know...

My two previous cars were named Dr. King -- a riced out Honda del Sol -- and Archduke "the Duke" Ferdinand -- and tastefully modified and menacing VW Passat.

As you can see the names also have to in some way reflect the spirit of the car.

The del Sol was named Dr. King by a friend of mine because Black guys used to stop us all the time to ask about it. It was a "cultural bridge", as he put it.

The VW was named after a European aristocrat because it had a snooty Euro attitude.

I also have a BMW that broke from tradition and was named Ike after Ike Turner because he is my beater car. :)

Ok, so, anyway.. I have two new cars to name...

a 1994 Lotus Esprit S4 and a 1991 Honda Prelude (my new beater).

I want FEMALE names this time around. I hate referring to my cars as "he." That's just not right.

    Suggest away!!

    Luke.

For a female name for your "beater", I'd have to go with "Tonya".

For an assassinated female world figure, the first name that comes to mind is "Indira".

Now, wait a minute... Wasn't there a queen named Catherine who was also beheaded...? Or was Catherine the queen who was a little overzealous for horses (and died as a result of that zeal)...

May I suggest a revision in thinking about female names in this context? Philosophically, women are regarded differently - life-givers, and so forth - on the other hand, they can be killers. With that in mind,

    Durga

The Hindu Goddess Shakti (manifestation of energy) in the form of Durga rides a lion, skillfully uses weapons & slays the Buffalo Demon (Lamborghini, if you will). The deity has eight arms, and holds on the left trident, sword, snake and bell, and on the right, drum, shield, cup and water pot; she is seated in sukhasana posture on a double lotus throne and wears a garland of skulls.

    Jaon of Arc?

    Indira Ghandi?

Give the Op a break. He did buy a lotus after all. By definition they are a unique breed. Esspecially the S4 drivers with that "intersting" wing.

I'm not looking for killers, rather those that have been killed.

Damn straight! Any specs, stories about your S4 would be appreciated. When the time comes for me to get something in this "class," I may opt for S4 or S4S.

The s4 is one of the better wings. It's a lot more difficult to push the other models such as the s4s with the wing overhanging the rear bumper.
