The cars really aren't the issue. He's **** in the ground effect cars and he's been **** in the pre-ground effect cars.
No history of continues, sustained , winning potential performance. He is a journeyman. Not a great etc.
he's not even a great journeyman. He just drives, occasionally has a somewhat decent performance but it seems to be accidental rather than talent. If it was talent we'd see a damn sight more of it. For every somewhat decent performance he's got, he's got at least 5x something embarrassing happen. On top of it all when was the last time any of us saw him even remotely happy to be in F1? Was it even this decade? Constantly being the joke of the paddock can't be easy. I'd be begging and crying to just drive that Valkyrie instead. Still racing, just far more anonymously.
Lance has no say in the matter. He is driving to pursue his father's ambitions not his own(if he has any).

The majority of drivers who go through F1 end up being journeymen; they fill up the grid. There are not many "greats" in F1. 1 or 2 every 10 years, no more.
100% Same goes for the manufacturers. Most just fill the grid, very few build a car that can win consistently. F1 is rarefied air. Where's that website again where they list all the has-beens of F1 drivers? Kinda funny when you browse through it. Names you never heard of.

All fine and dandy that papa stroll has an F1 team but focusing development so his son can drive the car makes it slower and is detrimental to the team. Buy Lance an older F1 car so he can get his speed fix and let him play in GT3 Aston or GTP Aston instead. This is just tragic for all involved.
