Wanted to get some feedback from those who have purchased leftover or demo GTC4Lusso (or even FF) from dealers. What kind of discount is possible? 30%?

Now that they are no longer in production and are effectively unobtainium, you’re expected to pay a premium, not receive a discount.

I am talking in a normal market - for those who have purchased such cars in the past. More of a curiosity thing at this point.

These are just not normal times so even if that ever happened in the past, its just not likely now. Pre-owned is what sets new car prices. Pre owned is through the roof.

I probably should have asked this question 2 years ago :). And I was specifically talking about the FF/GTC4Lusso only. I remember reading threads on here in the past that those were the cars that the dealers made you buy so you could buy the more rare Ferraris. I got the impression that dealers had a hard time moving them and would at one time offer discounts. I just thought there were some here who could sharre their previous experience.

no there were no discounts. after the FF came out they made some stuff standard so they effectively lowered the price a bit...but i can assure you ferrari has not sold a new car with a 30 percent discount since the late 90s...not sure before that cuz i was still in high school.

There never was a discount, and there never was an issue moving them. The FF had a slow start, but the Lusso did well for a proper 2+2 Ferrari.

If you would have wanted a "cheap" Lusso, late 2019 or so was the time to find a low mileage used model. From here it is just up.

To be fair everyone who had a laferrari allocation had to buy an ff. If that werent the case far fewer wld have sold.

That may have been the case for the US, but Europe was different. I think the 2010-2015 period was probably the period where US dealers played the most games.

Of the LaF owners I know here in Europe, I cannot recall any of them owning or ordering an FF.

In 2016 I bought a new leftover Ferrari FF, with MSRP $330k for $275k from Miller Motorcars in Connecticut, in 2017 I bought a new left over F12, MSRP $370k for $320k from Ferrari of Seattle.
I don’t think that kind of stuff will happen in today’s market but it did a few years ago.
By the way, I still got beat up when I sold them!

Yes. It did happen. There were cars that were specked for the dealer. “Extra allocations”. The dealer made whisper deals to customers or equivalent value in other cars linked to the deal for effective discounts.

    Thing of the past.

Occasionally specced cars for clients arrive a dealerships and the client backs out for various reasons (financial, family, job relocation etc)and the dealer has a new untitled car to sell immediately.
A walk in buyer has the opportunity to own a current model without the usual 1-2 year wait. The price rarely changes much as the walk in feels lucky to get get such a car immediately without buying a used Ferrari. I doubt one would see more than a few thousand taken off the price and options such as protective films thrown in to sweeten the deal.

Got my 812 this way. Didn’t even think to ask for a discount. But I did pretty well on my F12 trade.
The idea of literally waking in and buying a gorgeous brand new 812 will always be a day to remember, but it was also our wedding anniversary! My wife got a Ferrari handbag from the dealership.
