Is there any talk of Mercedes going to go back to Silver cars anytime soon? The car was black last season and is focused on bringing attention to stopping racism. That's fine but is this permanent, given their long history as the Sliver Arrow?

After that, it will be as a tribute to him, their greatest driver.

Toto Wolff said that they are going to be silver again next year.

I suppose someone at Mercedes told him that F1 is too expensive to be pollitically correct.

LOL poor Bottas..... That's what he gets for being a team puppet. No one takes him seriously.

For FIVE years in a row, this guy drives a dominant world championship car.
It’s at the same time one of the luckiest drivers in the history of this sport and the biggest mess ever seen to date.

Just think of it as silver in very low lighting levels.

Bottas gets to drive one of the best cars in the field, with a top team, to finish in the points most of the time, to win sometimes, and to be wingman to the most successful driver of the era. All that with a comfortable salary.
What is there not to like?

He's boring. While I quite like Bottas (seems a genuinely nice and down to earth guy), he's too much of a push over. He should be more like Rosberg :D

I don't think Bottas is as talented and fast as Rosberg.
But he uses what skills he has intelligently to make a career contributing as Number 2 in the best team of the moment.
At least half of the drivers on the grid will never achieve what Bottas has done, even if you find it "boring".
What would be the point of challenging Hamilton and get sacked at the end of the year?

Going out with a bang and giving F1 fans some much deserved entertainment, no?

In any case, it's all irrelevant now. Merc has a real outside challenger this season which is keeping people on the edges of their seats, unlike the past couple of years.

That wouldn't be clever if he wants to stay in F1.

Observing team discipline is a must in a top team.

Better being rear gunner at Mercedes than Number One at Alfa or Haas !
