Max has grown up plenty. Hamilton is clearly at fault in this incident and your assessment of what happened is not the whole story. In fact it was all great racing until Hammy tagged Max. Max was in front, Hamilton was not. It's up to the overtaker to make a clean pass and Hamilton failed. He caused a collision.
Yes he has grown up… but to win the chip sometimes u need to learn to take less risks …I’m not sure he is there yet. Some never learn, even my hero senna… it was all or nothing for him. See Brazil 94. He was faster than Schumacher but could have settled for 2nd, he didn’t and got a dnf. Verstappen is a lot more like senna than Lewis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With respect, you’ve completely missed my point. It’s obvious that Ham was at fault as he got a 10 second penalty. That’s not my point. My point is that Max could have avoided this incident completely, had he been thinking maturely and strategically about his priorities which should be to win the WDC. Instead he lost his head and defaulted to the usual immature Max attitude of having to win every battle at every race. He learnt today that that route leads to failure. Silly child.
Lewis’ missing the Copse apex was by-and-large due to Max aggressively pushing him into the (old) pit straight wall on the way to Copse.
And another vote for "he should'a given up while in front". The Sky narrative. So which driver will have these, next race? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hamilton proponents seem to think he was leading from behind. Sent from my SM-A102U using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The only thing LH and AH didn't spew forth in his defense is that which cannot be mentioned on this forum. Dude's guilty, phony and getting spanked.
Phony. Yes please elaborate on that. Phony. Save that for Horner's sorry pleading on camera, knowing full well he would be begging, pleading etc for Max to have a racing incident if reversed LOL. Save the commentary - please. The drama queen team of Marko and Horner are utterly pathetic. Talk to Ricci. Even with a penalty LH won. That to me is the utter shock of it all. Id prefer Charles. LH had no say in the severity. Nor do you. Or me. Or anyone not in the Stewards office. Race ban? Better ban Max for his move on Ricci at high speed, Russell on Bottas earlier this year. Lets see how that all plays out shall we? Marko and Horner need to be very measured in their words and much less emotional. Max avoided going off the track like Charles did by moving over when he thought LH was not there. So much for racing on lap 1. Both drivers entered that corner hot and aggressive, if that is too much for Max, Horner, Marko and the rest they can go play squash. Most if not all teams want racing. Now we get it and the complaining is at stupid hypocritical levels today. Spanked?? NO he took the penalty and won. That is utterly surprising to say the least.
Am I blind? Hamilton overshot the apex despite Max giving him room. If Hamilton’s car had been on the racing line, there would have been no contact. Hamilton’s error, coming from BEHIND, led to the shunt. This is not me speaking, it’s the stewards. The debate is not whether Hamilton was at fault. It’s whether the penalty was appropriate. Given the fact the Hamilton suffered exactly nothing by punting his only competitor off the track is a telling answer.
